• THIRTY-SIX •

After they were done with their dinner, Y/n felt the curiosity of knowing about her brother's life while he was away from them growing inside of her. She was growing impatient as she wanted to know what happened with Taehyung that evening when he did not return home. She also wanted to know about Namjoon and also about her parent's death in case it was related to them.

"Taehyung-aa! Tell me now."

"Taehyung-aa? Huh?! Six years, bitch; six years. By six fucking years I am older than you!" Taehyung spoke while dramatically raising his voice and whining like a kid while Y/n giggled and playfully rolled her eyes.

"Okay okay, alright! Taehyung oppa. Please tell." Y/n spoke while acting like a kid which eventually made both of them burst into a fit of laughter.

Taehyung settled himself on the bed beside Y/n and looked at her before beginning with his story.

"You just have to promise me that you wouldn't be too shocked to not function properly. It is pretty shocking but still, I don't want you to lose your mind."

FLASHBACK TO SIXTEEN YEARS AGO

Eight years old small Taetae, with his ten years old Yoongi hyung went to the nearby park in the evening to play just like other days. Taehyung and Yoongi knew each other from childhood as they used to live in the same neighbourhood. They even went to the same school as kids and as Yoongi never had siblings, he loved Y/n and Taehyung as his own. Life was pretty good for the kids; eat, sleep, play and repeat but for their parents, it was not as easy as they made it look in front of their kids.

Both the families lived in a decent neighbourhood and the area was surrounded by dense woods that stretched about thousands and thousands of miles covering the whole country. Their parents were well aware of the children going missing and they very well knew the reason behind it.

Demon's Den.

Everyone knew, how in the woods lived some extraordinary creatures that no one knew about in detail. They have only heard stories from old people about how they have practiced cannibalism for decades. All these were like bedtime tales for everyone; nobody wanted to believe that in real life some random creatures that were thirsty for human blood actually existed. On top of it all, the most amusing thing about all these theories was that everyone had some different story of their own. Some said it was a door to the parallel world; if you step once, you cannot come back whereas some said there lived human-like creatures that simply practiced cannibalism and if you step in their part of the forest, you might end up as their dinner.

No one actually knew what went on, on the other side of the river; they were just informed since childhood that they were not supposed to cross the river may the situation be anything. The children that were born in that country were highly targeted as they were not able to protect themselves and mostly they were taken away during late evenings when they would be playing and their parents would not pay much attention.

It was so much of a common thing for people going missing from that place that nobody actually cared anymore; it was a normal thing for people to just vanish into thin air. Although children were the most vulnerable in front of those creatures, adults were also targeted. They took away children to turn them into the monsters that they were and the adults would serve as their meals. They were just like humans and had no difference in their physical appearance. The only two things that differed between normal humans and them were; first, they were very, very buff and strong, and second, they were capable of performing tasks that would feel like an unimaginable invention for mankind.

It was a tribe of not more than a hundred people. After the sacrifice that Namjoon's great-grandfather made, a different kind of strength and power was granted to his entire family that no one in the tribe had. The Kim family was known to be the strongest of all and were treated as Gods. The people of the tribe even made offerings on any special occasion to the Kim family as a sign of showing how grateful they were to them for giving them this life.
