FIFTY-FOUR

"Thank you so much, Jin hyung. Ahh, it's really been long since we ate something like this." Namjoon spoke.

"I know right and that is why I thought of surprising you with this. Since we started hunting humans, we almost forgot that animals can also be eaten." Jin said while Namjoon chuckled.

Both the brothers were having a good time with each other. Namjoon of course did not know what his brother was up to and on the other hand, Seokjin was thinking how this would be his brother's last special meal for he was planning to kill Namjoon soon.

"I still don't understand why Namjoon kept me in that building when clearly he keeps prisoners in there; I mean- people that he abducts. He said he had some reason-" Y/n was ranting to Eun.

"And that reason is that he wanted you to be weak. Jin told me about this; he said, Namjoon wanted to control your life while being disguised as Yoongi. He wanted you to eat whenever he felt like you should eat and that is why he did not get you food for some two to three days, I guess. He wanted you to fear him but your behavior made him change his mind. When he realized that you did not fear him anymore, he decided to bring you here so that he could closely keep a watch on you but see, what he is doing and what we are doing." Eun spoke; giggling while uttering the last part.

"Yeah and all thanks to Seokjin." Y/n replied while smiling.

"Yeah; although I never thought that he would help us but it's still good. Anyway, you go to bed; Namjoon might come any moment. Give me the emerald locket, I'll keep it with me, and whenever you are leaving this room, do inform me or Jin so that if anything happens, we can at least reach there. Oh, put that ruby on; we don't want Namjoon to doubt anything now, do we?" Eun spoke while playfully winking at Y/n.

"Thank you, Eun." Y/n said while smiling.

"Good night!" both of them greeted each other before Eun walked out of Y/n's room.

As soon as Eun left the room, Y/n's expressions changed. She was pretending to be happy in front of Eun and Jin because she did not want them to think that what they did for her was not enough. She was grateful that she could meet Jungkook because of them and also Jin saved her life by coming just on time, but she actually wanted to be with Jungkook. She wanted him to be out of that shitty place and into her arms. She wanted to hold him, treat his wounds and heal him but it all seemed so very difficult unless Namjoon was out of the way. Wiping the tears off that made their way down her cheeks while she thought about the man that her heart belonged to, she slowly lay down in the bed before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

After about an hour or so, her sleep was disturbed by the ding sound of the bell that would ring every fucking time someone unlocked the door. She did not open her eyes; she did not need to open her eyes to tell who it was. She automatically knew who it could be and of course, it was Namjoon. She could hear him close the door behind him as he made his way towards her bed. She did not move an inch; not that she feared him anymore but she did not want him to know that she was awake.

Namjoon slowly walked near Y/n and sat on the bed beside her. He had no plans of waking her up and scaring the shit out of her just as he has done a lot many times in the past. He simply stretched his hands out and stroked Y/n's hair just as he would do every night but this time, Y/n could feel a difference in his touch; it was softer and a lot gentler than the previous times.

"I am sorry, Y/n-aa. I never wanted to do what I did. Killing your family was something that I had to do for they were like strong walls that were protecting you but Taehyung-; I- I honestly never wanted to kill him. I loved him as my own but he was planning to go against me; he was trying to harm my community and as a leader how could have I let that happen?" Namjoon confessed.

Y/n was on the verge of breaking down. Whenever someone would talk about her family it would always trigger her. She had no intentions of letting Namjoon know that she was awake as she did not want to talk to him at that moment but as he was talking about her family, she decided to speak.

"What would have you done if it was your sister in my shoes and Taehyung in yours?" Y/n asked; eyes still closed.

"You did not sleep?" Namjoon asked in a very soft voice.

"That was not the expected answer." Y/n spoke after sitting up straight and looking at Namjoon.

"I- I don't know how to answer your question, Y/n. I mean- I of course would have been pissed but I would have never broken the commitment that I made. Taehyung said that he would never go against us an-"

"Even you said that you won't harm any of the human's families that committed to you. You broke your commitment first, Namjoon." Y/n said as tears started to roll down her cheeks.

"I gave you the reason, Y/n; they were coming between us and-"

"THEY DID NOT COME BETWEEN US, NAMJOON. No one ever came between us because there was no 'us'. WE WERE NEVER A THING! And if that's the case- like you kill people that come in between us, should I not do that as well cuz you are the one that came in between me and all the good things that I deserved so should I not kill you as well? You were the one that ruined my life AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT MY FAMILY WAS COMING BETWEEN US. You know how I feel about you; I am not scared of you and talking about respect- haah, that you never had from me. All I feel when I look at you is disgust, hate, and I feel like making you suffer; give you a painful death just how you did to my family." Y/n almost screamed at Namjoon's face and he did not utter a single word.

Namjoon knew whatever she said was all correct; it was all his greed and pride that made him do all those things that he never thought would do to someone that he loved. Y/n was staring at Namjoon with eyes filled with tears and rag, and she did see a hint of guilt in his eyes. She did not of course believe it but Namjoon really was feeling guilty for doing all those things to Y/n; especially to Taehyung.
