As she entered the police station, she was greeted by the same officer that she had been in touch with from the very beginning. Today they had to decide what Y/n would do with her grandma's remains; like if she wanted to go for all the rituals or if she was fine with the police burying it. She decided that she would go for a proper ritual for her grandma's death as she could not do anything in her parent's case; she would not let her grandma's case pass by just as if it was something normal.

She then went on with the paperwork at the police station and then the police officers handed her some valuables that they found near her grandma's burial spot. Y/n found her grandma's watch that she always wore; it was very precious to her grandma. There were few other things as well like a locket hanging on a chain that she and her grandma bought together as the sign of their eternal lovely relationship, a small clutch, and a few more. The police informed her that they will send a priest and an officer to the cemetery nearby for the rituals and she instantly agreed. She was not allowed to carry her grandma's remains on her own for obvious reasons and that was why an officer was appointed.

She left the police station after confirming the time of her arrival at the cemetery and straight made her way to a broker's office. She was not going to let that house sit idle. She decided that she would sell it although she knew she would not receive much money from it as the house was old and almost worn out. Luckily, she got to talk to the broker even without an appointment and she settled the deal. The broker promised to sell the house within a week at the price that was set by Y/n.

All that would remain here now would be her grandma's tombstone and nothing else. She did not want to visit this place again as it held some terrible memories that might haunt her for her entire life. She reached her grandma's house in no time and she had to leave again within fifteen to twenty minutes as she had to visit the cemetery. She changed into a plain black one-piece dress and made her way out of the house to reach the cemetery. As she got into the cab that she booked earlier and went away in it, she failed to see that there were two eyes that were watching all her moves from afar.

-----

Upon reaching the cemetery, her eyes immediately fell on the priest, who was standing with the appointed officer near a grave that they already dug up. As she went inside, she saw a small box lying inside the grave and she instantly understood what it was; it was her grandma's remains. Her eyes welled up with tears when she saw that small box; she dared not ask the officer to open it and look inside even for the last time. She politely asked the priest to start with the ritual and she stood there with tears flowing down her cheeks continuously.

The ritual got over pretty quickly and the priest left soon after with the officer following him. She stayed there for thirty more minutes and talked to her grandma's grave and begging for her to come back. The pain in her chest was immense; she lost everything that she had. Although she belonged to a well-off family, but does it actually matter a lot when you have no parents, no family, no friends, or even not a single person to share your sorrow with?

She pulled herself up with a lot of effort and looked at her grandma's grave while promising her that she will take her revenge.

"I promise gran. I promise whoever is behind this would suffer. I promise." Y/n spoke between her heartbreaking sobs. Although she was broken, the anger building inside her was far more powerful than the sadness. She left the cemetery after looking at her grandma's grave one last time and made her way towards the house while still being unknown to the fact that the pair of eyes were still looking at her.

Who is going to tell her that somewhere, someone wept the whole night with her as well?

-----

There was no turning back now. She has already put the house on sale and the broker would transfer the money to her bank account therefore she did not need to visit this place ever again. She came back to her grandma's house; probably for the last time and took her things after looking around the property before leaving it forever. She knew that she was leaving for good; she tried to take in all the good memories and push away all the negative thoughts before leaving this place.

-----

She reached her town real quick this time as the train did not delay and also, for some reason fewer passengers were boarding the train and therefore it did not stop at all the stations that it was supposed to. Upon reaching her flat, she realized that she was living in a house that is given to her by her family's murderer; how funny! She knew that she had to move out of the place as soon as she could but she also knew that she had to stay close to him so that she can know the truth.

She decided to play along with his tactics and believed that eventually, she would come to know the truth. She went to the balcony for some fresh air when her eyes fell on a particular figure in the balcony next to her.

"Oh hey, Y/n! Jungkook told me that you had some work so you wouldn't be able to start working from today. So, you are joining from tomorrow right?" Jimin asked from his balcony.

"Ahh yes sir. I will join from tomorrow." Y/n replied.

"Hey! You don't have to call me sir off work. You and Jungkook are the same age; he is my cousin and doesn't show any respect to me so it's fine if you call me just Jimin." Jimin said with a small smile.

"What do you mean by I don't show any respect to you huh?" Jungkook sulked as he heard his elder cousin complain about him to Y/n. Oh and not to mention the way he kicked Jimin's butt.

"Yeah, clearly. So much respect, wow! You show respect by kicking your elder brother's butt huh?" the two brothers bickered while Y/n just stared at them with glossy eyes; envying them for having each other when she had no one.

"Uh, hey guys. I gotta go. I actually came back just a few minutes back, so I- you know like- kinda need to rest." Y/n spoke while looking at the boys in front of her.

"Yeah sure, Y/n. Take rest. Bye, and see you at work tomorrow." Jimin said while passing her a small and cute smile while Jungkook was- well, pretty busy staring at Y/n's face.

Y/n came inside from the balcony and all she thought was how they had each other whereas she was left all alone. 'Why is life so cruel to me?' she thought.
