'God, I just hope there's nothing scary in there.' Y/n mumbled to herself before putting the keys in the keyhole. As she heard the tiny click sound of the lock when it unlocked, her heart started racing. The way her heart thumped inside of her chest, she could have had a heart attack any moment. Detaching the lock from the door and holding it in her hands, she wrapped her fingers around the latch and opened the door.
The room was dark; totally dark. She could see nothing in the pitch-black environment. She was neither that dumb nor that brave to directly enter the room, so she stretched her hand inside the room and searched for any switch that she might use to turn the lights on; only if there were any. As she roamed her hand on the wall beside the door, she could feel the switches touching her fingers. She immediately turned on the very first switch that she could reach, and one of the lights in the corner of the room lit up. The room finally was illuminated enough for her to enter and so she did. She stepped inside the room and before looking around, she turned on all the switched that she found and immediately all the lights were on and the room was totally illuminated. She swiftly closed the door behind her and then finally looked at the things that were kept in the room.
She could see various weapons and equipment that were hanging on the walls. There were a few books as well that seemed to be really old as the pages were almost torn. She made her way further inside the room to take a good look at all the things that she could see. Her first instinct was to look at one of the swords that was hung on the wall in front of her. The sword that caught her attention was not any normal sword; it was pretty long and heavy. As she examined the sword, she realized that the length of the sword was longer than her tiny frame.
'Woah, looks great!' Y/n thought. She was amazed by looking at all the weapons in front of her. She guessed that these weapons were used by the people of the tribe during wars. The sword that caught her attention was the biggest of all and the person that came to her mind on seeing the same was Namjoon; she could not think of anyone else that was capable of using it skilfully other than him. Diverting her gaze from the sword towards the books that were kept on a table just below where the sword was hung, she reached her hand out to grab one of the books from the stack.
As she opened the book, she realized it was not any printed or machine typed book rather it was a fucking manuscript; a completely hand-written book. The language that the book was written in was alien to Y/n. She did not understand a single word that was written in it and therefore she let the book sit on the table just how it was and started to look for other books written in languages that she could understand. She was lucky that evening; she did not have to search for long when she found another book that was kept on the same table and was written in Korean. She could not be more thankful to the heavens for she was able to find a book that she could read. The book that she was holding was nothing but the translation of the other book that she saw first. She was pretty happy when she realized that it was a translation because, the alignment of the pages, the format, everything was the same as the previous book.
-----
Standing at the same spot for thirty minutes, Y/n could read only the first chapter of it and upon reading it, she realized that the manuscript was the history of the tribe; everything from the very beginning was written in it. She knew that she would be a fool if she thought that she could read the whole book while standing there because it had several chapters and each chapter had a minimum of ten to twelve pages. Sighing heavily to herself, she kept the book down and looked through the other books that were kept on the wooden table. Soon she picked up another book which again was a translation of one of the books and soon after she opened the book, she realized what it was about. The previous book that she had was about the history of the tribe but the book that she was holding currently was about how the tribe was going to be demolished.
All the books were written at least a century ago and Y/n wondered how even the end of the tribe was predicted. She started reading the book with utmost concentration and upon finishing the very first chapter; she realized that the end was near for this tribe for it was mentioned in the book that the tribe would have only one ruler who would be immortal and that ruler would be the last to rule. She knew that Namjoon was immortal and therefore guessed that there was no other immortal ruler that ruled the tribe before him. Upon realizing the fact, Y/n smiled to herself but one thing that bothered her was how was this going to end if Namjoon was immortal. Without wasting time reading the chapters one by one, she went back to the page of content and found that there was one chapter that was titled as 'Death'. Searching for the page number while quickly flipping through the pages, she finally found that chapter. It was not a very long chapter and had only five to six pages; she was glad thinking that she would be able to finish it within a few minutes and then she can go back to the house without anyone knowing that she ever visited this place.
She finished reading the chapter sooner than she expected. She sighed heavily when she was done reading because now she had to find a fucking dagger that had the ability to kill the last ruler. The book mentioned that there was one special dagger which was the only weapon that could kill Namjoon and rest any weapon would have no impact on him as he was immortal. The book also mentioned how the last ruler would face betrayal from his own people and after reading that, things started to make sense to Y/n.
She now realized that Namjoon already had knowledge about how the tribe would end and also knew that he would be betrayed by his people and that was one of the reasons why he killed Taehyung and Yoongi. Taehyung had plans to go against him and Yoongi was supporting his childhood friend; there was no way Namjoon could have let those two live after hearing that they were planning of wiping out the whole tribe.
