some real sad shit; I cried while proof-reading it. although I don't relate to the situation in the chapter, but it still did make me cry :(

Upon seeing her mother's photo on the locket, she quickly grabbed for the photo album to see the photos that he was seeing a few minutes back. She opened the photo album and the first photo that her eyes landed on was a family photo where her parents stood beside a small boy who was smiling brightly; that exact boxy smile that Y/n was familiar with. She examined the small boy's features very well and soon realized that his eyes were also the same as the grumpy guy. Upon going through more photos, she felt the deepest corners of her memory slowly opening up. As she was almost at the end of the photo album, she finally saw it; she was there in one of the family photos with him and her parents. Y/n and he looked very happy in the picture and their parents were smiling ear to ear while looking at their children.

That is when Y/n realized who he was and why the other day he said that she was his responsibility. They were siblings; he was her beloved elder brother whom she lost years ago. She eventually recalled tiny bits of her memories with him. She recalled how she used to call him Taetae as baby Y/n found it extremely difficult to pronounce Taehyung. His name was Kim Taehyung; the brother of Kim Y/n.

Tears started rolling down her cheeks as she stroked her hand on his pictures while mumbling his name continuously like a chant. She also recalled how she was so very small and her brother was a bit older than her when he went to play with his friends one evening and then never returned home. She does not remember all of it as she was just two years old, but that night was very important for her as she thought she lost her only brother forever and that was the reason why she could remember only that phase of her life.

As she was crying while sitting on the floor, she again heard the front door of the house open and this time the footsteps did not come up slowly; they were almost as if someone was charging towards her at full speed. She already knew who it could be and therefore she did not hide herself this time rather she stood up on her two and walked towards the door only to find her long-lost brother, Taehyung running up the stairs.

As their eyes met, the whole world seemed to stop for them; after all, they were meeting each other as siblings after sixteen years. He stopped in his tracks and looked at Y/n with tears in his eyes and the same was the case for Y/n as well. As she stood in front of the door of the attic while clutching on the photo album, her tears did not stop.

"Taetae!" Y/n spoke in a very shaky voice as she was crying and as soon as his name rolled out of Y/n's tongue, he immediately ran to her and hugged her as if his life depended on it.

"Y/niee! My Y/niee!" Teahyung said while almost crushing Y/n's bones while tightly hugging her.

"Taetae? Where were you all these years? Why did you never come back home when you knew where we lived?" Y/n asked while still hugging her brother; she absolutely had no plans of letting him go now.

"I am sorry Y/n; I am really sorry. I wanted to come back but I could not. I wanted to come back to you, to mom, to dad but I just couldn't; I had no option other than accepting my fate." Taehyung spoke while burying his face in Y/n's neck and sobbing like a child; this was the first time in sixteen years that he cried like this.

The brother-sister duo stood at the same spot while hugging each other for at least about five minutes straight and then pulled back only to look at each other and smile.

"I always knew that I had seen you somewhere but I just couldn't recall. Now that I know, I am not letting you go again." Y/n said while wiping off the tears from Taehyung's cheeks.

"I have to go back Y/n. Namjoon has already found you. Why did you not book a cab, mad lady? Who told you to take the public transport?" Taehyung scolded Y/n for her irrational decision.

"I just didn't feel like going for the cabs. I am sorry. But- what do we do now? Anyway, we can discuss that later but first tell me all that I should know." Y/n demanded and there was no way on earth Taehyung was declining his sister's demand.

"Mhm; I will tell you everything but before that, we need to get out of here. Namjoon has already seen you board the bus and he would be searching for you I know. So pack everything quick and let's leave."

Y/n nodded at Taehyung's words. She understood the sensitivity of the situation and also knew that it could get very problematic if she gets caught. She already has experienced what this Namjoon guy can do and she does not want that to happen to her again. She quickly packed the necessary things that she was supposed to take with her and left the house with Taehyung. As they made their way to the cab that Taehyung had called for, Y/n noticed the uncomfortable expression on her brother's face.

"Is everything alright Taehyung?" Y/n asked.

"Yeah! Wait- did- did you just call me Taehyung?"

"Umm, yes. That's your name?!"

Taehyung simply smiled at his sister's reaction. It was her first time calling him Taehyung. He was used to be called Taetae by her but now that she grew up and did not have any pronunciation issues, she called him Taehyung and it kind of surprised him.

The duo of siblings quickly got into the cab and drove off towards the main town where Y/n lived. Taehyung was a smart guy and that is why he planned not to take Y/n to her flat; instead he took her to a nearby hotel as he had this feeling of being watched as soon as he stepped out of their parent's house and of course he knew who it was. Although he could not see him but he could feel his presence somewhere near; it was Namjoon.

-----

Y/n was pretty surprised when she saw that they pulled up in front of a hotel and not her flat but Taehyung was quick enough to shut her mouth from asking any questions and dragged her inside with him.

"We were followed. We can't go to your flat." Taehyung whispered.

"Followed? By who; that Namjoon guy?" Y/n asked and Taehyung just simply nodded while talking to the receptionist about booking a room.

As soon as they were done, they made their way to the room that was allocated to them and Y/n immediately plopped herself on the soft, fluffy bed. Taehyung simply looked at her with a small smile on his face; it really feels good to live with your family after sixteen years, doesn't it?
