FORTY-ONE

Returning home from work and meeting Jungkook was a routine but today was different; he was missing. She was not sure when she thought that Namjoon was behind all these, but still, she knew that it was something related to him. She was kind of sure about it because she very well knew how Namjoon used to keep a look on her and she also knew that Namjoon was aware of where she could be so there were possibilities that he knew about Y/n and Jungkook's relation. Although these two were not dating but they were close enough for anyone to believe that they were dating.

After having a warm shower to relax her muscles, she got out of the bathroom only to hear the continuous ringing of the bell. She quickly went to open the door after covering herself in a bathrobe. Opening the door, she saw Jimin standing, and he looked very much exhausted and worried. Moving aside from the door and allowing him to enter, she saw how tired he looked. The man who was always bubbly and cheerful was now walking with his head hung low and his cheerfulness was nowhere to be found.

"Hi, Jimin! Did you hear anything about Jungkook?" Y/n asked after closing the door and walking towards him to sit beside him on the sofa and Jimin shook his head as a reply while sighing heavily.

"Nobody knows where he went. It's like- as if he just vanished out of nowhere. We have informed the police though."

"How it happened though? I mean, was he not home?"

"He said that he will be spending the evening with his friends; he left around seven in the evening and he also told me that he would return by ten, but he did not. I did not pay much attention to it as I thought he must be enjoying and it was pretty common for him and the boys to pull an all-nighter together at the hotel. But at work, I got a call from Yug. Yugyeom, you might know right?" Jimin asked and Y/n nodded; of course, she knew his friends. "Yeah so, he called me and told me that Jungkook never did arrive at the place they were supposed to meet at and even they had no idea where he could have gone. Before calling me, they asked all their friends and searched at all the possible places that he could go to, but still could not find anything."

Jimin explained in detail about what happened and Y/n just sat quietly and listened to every single bit of it with ultimate concentration; it was her crush that was missing after all.

"Don't worry Jiminie, he will be fine." Y/n said while rubbing her hand on Jimin's shoulder to calm him a bit. Although she was not sure if she really meant what she said as her past experiences were telling her a different story. She remembered how her family ended and she did not want the same to happen to Jungkook; at any cost, she would find him before it was too late.

"Jimin, I have a few things to tell you and I think you should really know about these. Although it's not the right time to talk about these, but I feel like it's related to Jungkook going missing."

"What is it, Y/n? Don't wait for the right time, Y/n just tell me." Jimin spoke while looking at Y/n who was staring blankly at him.

One hour; one fucking hour had passed and Jimin was now almost slipping into depression after Y/n told him her story. Just like any human would, Jimin did not believe in whatever she said. He thought she was making up stories but when she said that she thinks Namjoon could be the one to abduct Jungkook, he had to believe Y/n. It was not like he thought that she was totally lying but what he thought was that she was exaggerating things. It was not his fault though; he has lived in Busan for almost all his life and had moved to Daegu a couple of years ago and therefore, he had no idea about the world that lied there on the other side of the river. Busan was a peaceful place and he could never imagine that these things were real. Daegu used to be a peaceful place as well but it was before the tribe decided to sell their souls to the devil for their survival.

"So you are telling me that a man who can fly, turns invisible, eats raw human flesh, and is obsessed with you has abducted Jungkook? MY FUCKING BROTHER JUNGKOOK?" Jimin almost yelled.

If I just say he was scared, it would be an understatement; Jimin was petrified. He was scared for his brother's life as the thought of his brother becoming Namjoon's next dinner, scared him.

"So what are we doing now? I mean- the way you described him, uhh, I don't think it's possible to even harm him in any way."

"I don't know Jimin, I don't know how I will even take my revenge but I just know that I will do it at any cost. Anyway, Jimin I have some work to do; I gotta leave. You take care okay? Don't stress!" Y/n said while passing a small smile to Jimin and he in return hugged her to assure her that no matter what, he will always stand by her side.

"I know you recently lost your brother and I should not be saying this but just know that I will stand by your side as a brother. I know I cannot replace Taehyung, for you share the same blood, and trust me I would never even try to do that but you can always rely on me and I will be there." Jimin spoke with a smile while patting Y/n's head.

They shared a small and warm hug before Jimin left her flat and she prepared to leave. She knew what she was going to do was extremely lethal but she was ready. 

'Strong Woman Kim Y/N!'

She did not yet inform anyone that she would be visiting the place that she dreaded the most; fuck everyone, she did not even inform Yoongi that she was going to cross the river and that too at night.
