Day of the Great Devourer

             Previously on Ninjago

"You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer." Uncle Wu tells us, keeping Pythor captive as he refuses to move, "Go, ninja! Go!"

The Great  Devourer then launches out of the ground and looks at Uncle Wu and Pythor.

"Uncle, don't!" I cry out, looking at the scene in horror as The Great Devourer shoots down and swallows the both of them whole.

(Y/n)'s POV

"No...NO!" I exclaim in sorrow before my mouth gets covered by Jay.

"Wait! Maybe if we stand perfectly still..." He starts, but the Great Devourer quickly spots us.

"Run!" Kai yells.

I suddenly get lifted up into the sky by a pair of claws, that I'm assuming belong to (D/n).

"Snap out of it, (Y/n)! Wu may be gone, but that doesn't mean you're alone."

I look into down below and see the others running from the Great Devourer.

'Right. You're right.'

I wipe away my tears and climb into (D/n)'s sadle and we fly towards the ninja.

Jay trips and I quickly have (D/n) grab him and throw him behind me.

"Ah! Oh, thanks (Y/n)." Jay says, causing (D/n) to growl, "Right, sorry. Thanks (D/n)."

I fly over the Bounty and Jay jumps onto it, joining the others. The Bounty then takes off, right before the Devourer could bite a chunk out of it.

(D/n) tries blasting it a couple of times, but it retreats underground before appearing in front of the Bounty.

'Geez, that thing is fast! What do I do?'

"Keep blasting at it!"

'Yeah, like that's going to work!'

"Guys, it's gaining on you! You need to move faster!" I exclaim into the coms.

"What do you think we're trying to do!" Jay screams, "Can't you distract it or something?!"

"What do you think I've been trying to do!" I shout.

I then wince as the Great Devourer takes a bite out of one of the boosters, slowing the Bounty down.

'What do I do?! They're not going to make it!'

"What about the Fang Blade?"

'Oh right!'

I pull out the Fangblade and the Devourer's head snaps towards me, causing my eyes to widen.

"Oh boy...at least its distracted, right?"

"(D/n)! Go, go go!" I order as the Devourer starts to give chase. (D/n) dashes through the air as fast as he can.
