Into the Eye

(Y/n)'s POV

Lloyd and I continued to follow the glowing purple path. I sent (D/n) ahead to see if he could find the others, and I probably shouldn't have done that because at some point, we started to get chased by a green grundal.

"Don't you already have one of these things?!" Lloyd exclaims as we run, "Why haven't you tamed this one yet?!"

"First of all, Amber is not a thing! And second of all..." I stop running before turning to face the approaching grundal, "...I guess you're right."

The dino roars as it gets closer to us and I hold my hands out.

"(Y/n)?!" Lloyd exclaims, seeing the grundal get really close.

"Don't worry, I got this." I tell him.

The grundal finally reaches us, and before it could try and eat us, I press on a pressure point above its snout.

The grundal pauses for a second before stumbling and falling on its side.

"What the-What did you just do?" Lloyd asks.

I chuckle, "I made him dizzy. I found the same pressure point on Amber a couple of years ago, I never thought I'd use it on another grundal though."

Lloyd sighs, "I'm just glad you knew what to do. Let's hurry up and go before it recovers."

"About that..." I say as I look at the recovering grundal behind him.

Lloyd's eyes widen before turning around, "Oh, come on!"

The grundal growls at Lloyd before staring at me. It gives me a huff before stomping away.

"I think he's embarrassed." I whisper to Lloyd.

"He?" Lloyd questions.

I nod, "Females have more spikes than males."

"You know a lot of weird things, you know that?" Lloyd ask as we start walking on the path again.

"I know a lot of things in general, Lloyd." I state.

"Yeah, about that..." Lloyd starts and narrows his eyes at me and I know we're gonna talk about Harumi, "(Y/n), when exactly did you find out Harumi was the Quiet One?"

"About the same time Zane started that motorcycle race." I answer, "I caught her on the phone, telling Ultra Violet, that Zane was a spy."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Lloyd asks, "Why did you just keep that to yourself?"

I shake my head,"I didn't, I told Kai about it-"

"But you had him keep it a secret too." He interrupts, "And that doesn't answer my first question, why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know how..." I admit, "I saw the way you were with her, I wanted to try and change her mind before classifying her as the bad guy."

"Why did you tell her about the tombs?" Lloyd questions.

"I wasn't even talking directly about you." I tell him, "I told Rumi a lot of stories about dad, and at some point, I brought up the fact that you opened the tombs to be like him. I was never trying to blame you for anything, Lloyd."

I frown as I see him try to hold back tears. Lloyd looks at the ground for a while before looking at me, "Do you think she was pretending?"

"Of course not!" I deny, "I mean...I hope not, I really hope not. She's just angry, but we can get through to her  and get her to stop all of this."

He sighs, "You're right, we can deal with this without anyone else getting hurt."

I wince at his bitter tone, realizing that Lloyd's going to be mad at me for a while.
