Once we make it back to the Temple, Master Wu agreed to answer our questions…

…After he had tea.

‘I swear, he drinks so much tea he must be addicted to the stuff.’

Wu then slurped down his third cup of tea and sighs as he turns to mom holding a tray, “Another cup please Misako.” He asks.

“Okay, but drink it slower this time.” Mom tells him as she pours him another cup, “Healing tea doesn’t work on a burnt tongue.”

Wu then drinks it all in one slurp.

“Sip.” Mom chides as she walks away, “You are quite Impatient.”

“The same could be said for them.” Wu gestures to us with a chuckle.

“Okay Master Wu, you’ve had your tea.” Cole starts as he walks forward.

“Now can we talk? We want answers.” I add impatiently.

Wu nods, “Ask any question you wish.”

“Who did we fight in the monastery?” Cole starts.

“What was that weird gauntlet he had?” I jump in.

“That was Acronix, right?” Zane says.

“From the painting?” Kai asks.

“Why was he still so young?” Morro adds.

“Twins look alike!” Lloyd puts in.

“So are we sure that was Acronix?” I start.

“Or was it Krux?” Nya finishes for me.

“Is he from the future?” Zane asks.

“How does he speed up time like that?” Kai went next.

“Was he from the past?” Cole asks.

“Is Krux here too?” Morro adds.

“Who ate my pudding cup?” Jay asks, holding an empty pudding cup.

Wwe all turn to him in surprise. “What? He said ask any question. I put my name on this.” Jay retorts, “Just because we're in a new dojo doesn't mean we disobey the refrigerator rules!”

I give him a deadpan stare, “Really, that’s your biggest problem right now?” I ask.

“Right, sorry. Guy in monastery.” He relents before turning to Wu, “What’s his story?”

"Well, to answer that, I must begin at the end." Wu starts, "It was 40 years ago, shortly after the Serpentine Wars…When I was a much younger man."

'Yeah, as in thousands of years younger.'

'We don't exactly know his age, huh?'

'Exactly.'

"As you know, we fought valiantly, but our enemies were strong and our power alone were not enough." Wu explains, "It was the discovery of the magic flutes that allowed us to finally defeat the Anacondrai. Their leaders were banished. And peace was returned to Ninjago."

"Hold on a sec." Cole states, "So that guy at the monastery is an actual Elemental Master of Time?"

"No. Acronix was an Elemental Master of Time, like his brother, Krux." Wu replies, making the rest of us look at him confused, "After helping us win our hard-fought peace, they betrayed me, Garmadon, and the others."

"The so-called Hands of Time felt they controlled the most powerful element, therefore entitling them to rule all of Ninjago."

"What did you do?" Nya asks.
