Two Lies, One Truth

(Y/n)'s POV

Nya finally gets back from checking the surface right as we finished the food the Serpentine kindly provided for us.

"It's chaos up there. But we're safe for now." She says.

"All right, we've had our fill and my sister is back." Lloyd states as he pushes his bowl away, "Now, are you gonna tell us how you turned into a rat?"

Mystake finishes her tea and sighs before turning her attention to all of us, "A rat is easy. How about this?"

She moves her hands over her face and looks down before revealing her face again…except, she looked like Master Wu, beard and all, making us all gasp.

"Not too shabby for an old woman." Mystake turns back to normal and giggles.

"You're an Oni." Lloyd says in surprise before suddenly turning to me, "Wait, is that what you were going to say earlier?!"

"You knew?!" Morro questions.

"Yeah…" I admit, answering both questions, "She told me a while ago at the depot."

"But we were told that Oni are dangerous." Darreth states, "All they want to do is destroy."

"We are." Mystake tells him before giving him a small glare,"You don't want me on your bad side."

Nya looks at Mystake confused, "How did you get here? When—"

"During the time of legend, when she crossed over in pursuit of my grandfather. When he fled the Realm of Oni and Dragon." Lloyd explains.

Mystake hums, "You listen well, Master Garmadon. Since your grandfather was born of both worlds, our mission was to follow him into this realm and turn him to our side…or destroy him."

'Okay, brutal.'

"They're Oni."

'True.'

"But he wouldn't turn, and I fell in love with this world he created. My fellow Oni wanted to complete our mission, but I turned on them, and I have helped the First Spinjitzu Master ever since." She finishes, "Did you ever wonder how Master Wu and Garmadon have lived so long? It is our Oni blood."

"How have you kept this secret for so long?" Skylor asks.

"Transformation is a powerful ability." Mystake tells her.

"But if I'm part Oni, why can't I do that?" Lloyd asks, "Can (Y/n) do that?"

"Transform?" Mystake questions, "You've been doing it all your life! From a bratty child, to the destined Green Ninja, then to the legendary Golden Ninja and now to our great leader of The Resistance. But to endure your father, you must transform again."

"Into what?" Lloyd asks.

"There is but one final step for you, young Master. Have faith. You will figure it out." She states.

"And (Y/n)?" Nya asks, "She can figure out how to transform too, right?"

Mystake sips her tea again before chuckling, "I believe she already has."

All eyes turn to me and I sigh as I stand up, "Well, you were gonna find out sooner or later."

I focus on my form again as I did yesterday, I then feel myself shrinking as fur started to appear on my body. I land on the table on all fours as I finally turned into a cat.

"Aww." Chope and Kapow coos.

"Well this explains how you escaped." Mom says with a smile.

I then turn back into myself before anyone got the idea to pet me, specifically B.J, who I knew had a love for cats.
