On a wish and a Prayer

(Y/n)'s POV

We all walk inside a big building, that apparently, belongs to Jay.

"Ahem. Welcome to my humble abode." He says.

"Woah." We all say with aw.

"There's no way he bought this place."

'That's what I'm thinking.'

We wall into another room and I see a Cliff Gordon statue.

"Fear isn't a word where I come from." It says.

"So how did you come across this place again?" Lloyd asks.

"I saved up." Jay answers. "Yeah, that's it. I saved up every little bit and now...ta-da, here's my secret hideout. Ha, ha. Of course it could be our secret hideout."

Cole and I look at each other, realizing that everything Jay was saying was a lie.

"Fear isn't a word where I..." Jay shakes the talking statue forcing it to stop talking.

"First we lost Wu, then Misako. Now Kai." Lloyd says. "I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see a pattern."

"Whenever one of us finds ourselves alone, we dissappear." Zane states.

"Then we better stick together from here on out." Nya spoke. "We need to take a look at that lantern. Jay, hit the lights."

Jay perks up and then starts to frantically look for the light switch in the room.

"Where would they be?" He asks himself before spotting them on the wall. "Ah, found them! Ha-ha. Sorry, big house."

Jay pushes a button and the air conditioning turns on. He pushes another button that makes the radio start playing music, he then pushes one more button that finally covers the windows.

"He obviously doesn't know how to work this place."

"Wow. So this is supposed to point the way to the only thing that can stop Nadakhan?" Nya asks.

"Not stop, slow." Lloyd corrects. "Remember, a drop of venom from a Tiger Widow can kill a normal person, but slow a Djinn down before he can dissappear on us."

"Either way, I'm surprised he didn't destroy this map once he got his hands on it." Morro says.

Cole and I pull Jay to the side as the other continue to talk.

"Okay, Blue Jay, you are going to tell us how you really came across this place." I whisper.

"Yeah, you saved up from this place?" Cole questions. "Baloney. Whenever money comes your way, you waste it on junk food and video games. What's really up?"

"And don't think you can lie to us. We know you too well." I add.

"Fine. I made a wish with Nadakhan." Jay confesses.

"What?!" I exclaim.

"You've seen Nadakhan and haven't told anyone?!" Cole whisper-yells.

"What an idiot."

Jay sushes us, "He came when I was alone. I wished to be rich and impress Nya, and instead I got a letter telling me I've inherited my dad's estate, only it turns out that I'm adopted and my birth dad is Cliff Gordon."

"Seriously!?" I whisper.

"Who?" Cole asks.

"The guy who played Fritz Donnegan." Jay and I say.

"So the Tiger Widow is on that island?" Nya questions.

"An island that doesn't exist according to my database." Zane tells her.
