The Void

(Y/n)'s POV

So here we are, in a spaceship, in space...floating around like we have no care in the world.

"Is this the greatest thing ever or what?!" Jay exclaims

I looked at Jay. "Greatest thing--A while ago you didn't even want to be here!"

"Where are you?" Kai asks. "We're trapped in space and you...Where did you go?"

"Guys, we're in space. I thought this is stuff only Fritz Donnegan gets to enjoy." Jay says.

"Fritz is from a comic book, dude. This is real!" Lloyd informs.

"Well, you got me hooked on the character. Would you lighten up and not step on my dreams of being a real Starfarer just yet?" Jay accuses.

"We have to find a way to take control of the ship." Lloyd tells us. "If they get the Golden weapons back to the Overlord, Ninjago doesn't stand much of a chance."

Kai bumped into Lloyd which sent him flying through the air.

I clicked my tongue, "We can barely control ourselves at the moment, how do we control a ship we know nothing about?"

Kai rubbed his head, "Besides, there no access to the rest of the ship. The only way out is through the same airlock we came in."

Zane looked out the window. "And if my memory banks serve correct, space has a way of taking ones breath away, in the negative sense."

One of the computers started going off and Zane went to check it out.

"Enjoy it while you can, Jay. Because in five minutes, the entire ship is scheduled to lighten up. The supplemental boosters are set to detach."

"Uh, im a ninja, not an astronaut. What does that mean?" Kai questions.

"The portion of the ship we are currently stationed will soon detach and we will be abandoned in space with it." Zane explains.

The computer started glitching and a voice started coming from it.

"Hello? Kai? Anyone?" It was Nya, and behind her was Wu, Dad and Pixal. "Can you read me?"

"We read you loud and clear." Kai responded.

They cheered, happy that we were alive.

"Good to hear you guys. We're going to help you get home safe. Pixal was able to find the blueprints for the rocket." Sensei says. "You need to escape the cargo hold before its to late."

"Near the front of the ship is an A2 storage compartment. Inside are emergency spacesuits."

Cole sighed,"That will be a dozy. We can't get the spacesuits unless we go outside. The problem is, we can't go outside without the spacesuits."

I rolled my eyes, "That's great...we're about to be stranded in space, with limited oxygen, and unless someone can hold their breath for a very long time, getting the spacesuits is literally impossible, and other suggestions?"

"Is that really how space works?"

Cole seemed to have gone deep in thought after I said that while everyone ignored the fact that we're doomed.

"They are completely out of there element." Dad tried to whisper. "Even if they get through this, what chance do we have of getting them home?"

Kai frowns, "Uh, we can still here you."

"Yeah, we could really use some encouraging words right about now." Lloyd agreed.

"Hey, at least he's being honest." I say.
