Chapter 51: Make Things Right, It's Fight or Flight

Everything was confusing and saying that he was lost was an understatement. But if there is one thing that Peter knows for sure, is that he will do anything to make sure Hydra will not get away with this. They have already taken too much and he will die first if they think he'll let them take anything else.

"Peter! Will you stop?" Abby pulled him back, stopping him from racing head first into battle. They had exited the portal and was back in Sokovia (weird magic stuff, he'll ask Strange about it later), the battle not too far from them and from the sounds of things it was dying down. Peter was about to swing right in when she stopped him.

"What?" Peter asked, a twang of annoyance in his voice.

"You can't just rush in!" She hissed at him.

Peter furrowed his eyebrows underneath his mask. "Says who?"

Abby let out an exasperated sigh. "You never answered what was wrong."

"That's your priority right now!?"

"Yes!"

"Why!? Nothing's wrong!"

"Then tell me why I still have possession over the stone."

Peter didn't answer but he took an audible breath. Abby softened her posture.

"I know that you know that there's something wrong. I also know that you know how to fix it." She stated. "So do it."

"Yo! There they are!" Jason called out but stopped when he saw Abby's orange eyes. "Uh, is she still gonna try and kill us or is she on our side?"

Abby stared for a moment before answering. "Yes."

"Very reassuring." He deadpanned. "Really glad your back."

"Why are her eyes like that?" Sam asked as he landed beside Peter.

"Uh, she still has the soul stone. It's fine! I'll... get it back later." Peter said.

Sam looked suspicious but didn't press. "So, how do you get the last one? Right now, we've got her playing cat and mouse with Tony. He's not so happy about it."

"Guys! I think I finally lost her!" Tony called out. The group turned and saw Tony hovering beside Rhodey. The reality guardian nowhere to be seen.

"Yeah, you're welcome." Hayden grumbled. The people present turned around and saw Hayden flying down and closed his large brown wings. He was carrying an unconscious Ashley.

"Um, how did you manage that?" Sam asked skeptically.

Hayden gave him a bored look. "I'm the guardian of the mind stone. Once Vision freed me from the mind control, I was able to get to her."

"The mind stone's guardian can escape her reality powers but couldn't escape being mind controlled by Hydra?" Daniel teased. Hayden, unamused, gave him the finger.

"But she's good now? Like, she won't come at our throats anymore?" Tony asked.

"You scared?" Hayden raised an eyebrow.

"Please, I could take her any day." Tony huffed. "Just... wondering."

Hayden rolled his eyes. "Much like Abby, the reality stone's still in her. But my mind stone should have reached her reality stone, freeing Ashley from whatever mind control she was on."
