Chapter 50: Realities Battle and A Path in Space

"Are you sure that's going to work?" Quill asked.

With Ross out of the picture, Hydra didn't have anyone giving set orders anymore. The "captains" just gave the order to follow through with past orders, which was kill and defend.

"Won't that hurt them?" Quill added to his previous question.

Peter had pulled each of the Wielders out and now they were standing behind the Quinjet.

"No, if you take the stones away from them, they should be okay. They'll drop unconscious, but unharmed." Jason answered.

"So, what? That's it? We just summon the stones to us?" Quill asked again.

"What if we already have the stone?" Vision pointed out.

"Then you use it to break your Guardian out of whatever mind control they have." Peter stated.

"It's pretty simple, really." Loki added.

"Just do it." Peter sighed.

"Hoi! Wanna do your plan now!? We've got company!" Shuri yelled, coming up to the back of the Quinjet.

The group turned and saw Dawn coming at them. Her eyes glowing a bright green. Strange stepped forward and raised his hands, doing the same motion he does when using the time stone. The two made eye contact. A green aura surrounded her and, in a flash, the time stone appeared in front of Strange and Dawn dropped unconscious. Jason flew forward and caught her just before she hit the ground.

"What about reality? We don't have Jane with us." Vision pointed out.

"Leave her to us." Jason said and placed Dawn next to Daniel who just woke up and was clutching his head.

"Where is he? I want to give him a piece of this headache." Daniel groaned.

"That just leaves, Peter." Quill said.

"You sure you're going to be able to get to her?" Strange asked. "The remaining two seem to be sticking together."

Peter followed Strange's line of sight. The illusion that he saw flashing through his mind. He made brief eye contact with Ashley and looked away faster than Pietro can run.

"I'll... manage."

Strange gave him a look but Peter looked away.

"Uh, leave them to me and go help them clear the area." Peter stated.

Vision flew off to Wanda almost immediately, Loki disappeared in a flash of blue and Strange gave Peter another look before creating a portal and walking through. Quill, however, didn't move.

"Can I just use this?" Quill asked, holding up the gun that held the power stone.

"Uh... sure." Peter said, unsure.

Quill's face split into a grin and attached his helm and flew off. In the distance, he could hear explosions and Rocket arguing with Quill for the gun.

"I'm going to regret that decision, aren't I?" Peter sighed.

"Just go." Jason pushed Peter. "Just don't confuse the actual reality from a false one!"

Peter landed on a tree, just in the line of sight of the Soul Guardian. Giving a cue to Jason, he had managed to separate the two remaining guardians. Not giving Abby time to go after Ashley, Peter shot a web and brought her attention back to him.
