*Brooke's POV*

Getting Calum out was unsuccessful, instead, everyone else came back. I was fortunate enough that they came just after my chemotherapy session, Michael wanted to stay for it, but I told him not to, I didn't want to cause him too much pain.

"Where's Mikey?" I asked, finally realising he wasn't here.

Luke shrugged. "Apparently with some girl on the beach."

I raised my eyebrows, not knowing he knew another girl. And why would he be at the beach with her.

"I doubt it's anything." He added.

I just nodded stiffly in reply. "I don't mind actually, not anymore...he's gonna move on anyways. And I'm fine with that. As long as she's caring, then I approve. And if he wants to find someone sooner than later, then good for him."

"No, there's nothing going on between him and Amelia." Ashton laughed.

"Amelia?" Charlene questioned.

"Ooh, watch out Brooke." Shay raised her eyebrows.

"I smell trouble." Ty mumbled.

"Guys, stop! Don't say things like that to her, poor thing..." Amy mumbled giving me an awkward side hug.

"Um, hello, everyone?" I chuckled lightly. "I'm fine. And I don't care if Amelia is a thing. Okay?"

I looked around at their expressions.

"Okay, well, I'll be here to give you the tissues." Calum mumbled.

"Oh, for god's sake." I mumbled.

"Does um, anyone know who this Amelia looks like?" Charlene questioned, her face a sickly white colour.

"You okay, Char?" I questioned.

She just nodded stiffly.

The others shook their heads to Charlene's question.

And then as if on cue, in walked Michael.

"You have explaining to do young man!" Calum said.

"Um, what?" Michael furrowed his eyebrows.

"This, Amelia girl!" Calum said. "You have to explain to Brooke everything, she's been crying her eyes out!"

Michael's face softened and he turned to me. "Oh, no no no, baby I promise-"

"You little liar, Calum." I scolded. "I haven't cried. And I don't care."

Calum just pouted and looked up at me. "I know, but he wouldn't have explained anyways."

"Dork." I chuckled as I swatted him on the head playfully.

"Wait, what?" Michael mumbled.

"Mike, I honestly don't care if you are with another girl... I wanted you to move on." I chuckled.

"Oh, god no! I'm not with another girl!" He said, walking over to my side. "Okay, the story started with the taxi driver... He recognized me from Amelia, his daughter's, poster. So he asked me if I could sign something, I said yeah, and he gave me this little book thing...it looked pretty private, something for him and her daughter to write to each other. And by what I did read, her mum died and she must've been depressed... So I wrote a nice letter for her. And I was at the beach alone, and she came up to me, first time I've seen her, and she just said thanks...and then I was bored and didn't mind company, I said she could join me, and she did...she said she was sorry about you and she told me about her family situation- oh! Which reminds me, Charlene?"

"Y-Yeah?" She replied, looking sick.

"You never told us about Amelia and Jay." Michael said.

"I don't have a reason to..." She mumbled.

"Who are they?" Luke questioned.

"Charlene's adopted siblings." Michael shrugged.

"Wow, thanks Michael." Charlene spat. "I don't talk about that adopted family I was a part of, I have my real parents now-"

"Did you know? Jay and your mum worked together at the tattoo parlour? They gave me and Brooke our tattoos, and Calum and Brooke met your stepmum...Chloe...your adoptive mum...she died." Michael said.

Charlene's face drained colour. She just stared at Michael, a pleeding look in her eyes, as if asking for a sign that it was just a joke. But didn't get one.

"No way..." I mumbled. "She was really cool..."

"Oh! Is she that girl that had the bright red hair?" Calum questioned. And out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Amy look at her hair. "And all the tattoos, and piercings?"

"Yeah, that was her." Charlene mumbled. "Wow. I'm such a sick bitch. The last thing I told her was 'I hate you and fuck off out of my life'...great one."

"Your dad sounded american, right?" Michael questioned further.

"Yeah, he's half Australian half American. He just moved here after years of being in America...apparently he had a real daughter. But she...ran away or something. I didn't get her name." Charlene said.

"What's his name?" Ashton asked, looking sick himself.

"Arsten, why?" Charlene questioned.

Ashton and Amy shared a glance.

"That's our dad." Ashton said.

A/N: Why.
