*Michael's POV*
Taking in a deep breath I stared ahead at the blue ocean before me, wind blowing my dark blue hair in different places, and the sand staining my black combat boots.
I've been coming down to this beach a lot lately. It helps me clear my mind from all that was happening lately with Brooke.
As much as I loved Brooke, and hoped for the best, I knew that there wasn't much I could do, and there wasn't much anyone could do.
But what hurt the most was that Brooke didn't even want help, she just accepted what was going to happen in 23 days. She was okay with dying.
I wasn't okay with this. I loved Brooke more than anything. She was the biggest part of my life and I wasn't prepared to loose her this fast.
A year ago, I wouldn't have expected that Brooke would get a terrible ilness that would forcefully take her away from me and all those who loved her.
Brooke Krystal Junes wasn't a person that deserved it.
And let me just say, she isn't a person that will easily be forgotten.
She's brought us so many smiles, tears, laughs and memories. She holds a lot of pieces of each and every one of us.
Not only was she my fiancée, but she was also my first love, my best friend, and my other half.
She is my only reason.
"Hey."
I looked up from my gaze on the sea and smiled at the sight of Amelia.
"Hi." I smiled.
She nodded and then sat down next to me.
She just stared at me for a while, but not in a way that made me uncomfortable.
"Is it true?" She finally whispered.
"Is what true?" I asked.
"Brooke...she'll only be living for a couple weeks?" She asked cautiously.
"Yeah..." I sighed. "23 days."
"Oh my god..." She whispered. "I-I'm so sorry."
"Don't be." I shrugged.
"I...I know how you feel..." She mumbled.
I looked over at her, she was biting her lip, obviously trying to maintain herself from crying. Her gaze was on her Converse covered feet, while she dug them into the sand.
I felt bad for her too, she did loose her mum by cancer too.
I guess we both were feeling the same.
"I'm sorry." I smiled sadly.
"Don't be." She copied my actions.
"She would have loved you..." I mumbled.
"Who?" She questioned.
"Brooke." I replied.
"You think?" She chuckled lightly.
"I know." I corrected.
"I already love her." She shrugged.
"You should...meet her." I mumbled.
She looked over at me, her personality has definitely changed since the first day she came to me on the beach. She was a shy girl, nervous and indecisive, as if she were afraid of saying the wrong words.
She was acting more confident now, saying what she thought and being a bit more laid back. I honestly liked her more like this, it made me feel as if I was worthy of being trusted with the real her.
