*BROOKE P.O.V*

After a long day at the mall, Calum drove. He drove himself home and gave me the keys.

Me and Calum didn't actually fight.

When I got home, I hid all my pressies in my bedroom.

And I started planning everything for friday. The only thing is...it's gonna be at my house, so Calum will be here.

After a while my phone started ringing again. I sighed and saw it was Luke again.

*PICKS UP*

Me: Hellooo

Luke: What. Have. You. Done.

Me: What?

Luke: What have you done to the real Calum?

Me: Serious? Nothing, I went to the mall like any normal human being duh.

Luke: Yeah, but he said he enjoyed himself.

Me: And...?

Luke: He hates you.

Me: Aw thanks, I hate him too.

Luke: He did hate you, but now he doesn't.

Me: *chuckles* Yeah, yeah, funny.

Luke: I'm being serious.

Me: Alright, so maybe me and Calum are alright.

Luke: Did you guys kiss? Are you two together? Oh my god, are you getting married-

Me: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Slow down there mister.

Luke: Right...sorry.

Me: Me and Calum didn't do anything, and we're not going to.

Luke: Okay...

Me: Well, I'm going, see ya.

Luke: Bye

Me: Bye

*HANGS UP*

Luke's crazy.

Whatever, all of Mike's friends are.

Wait, what's Mike doing?

*DOOR BELL RINGS*

Haha, amazing.

I went downstairs but Mandy beat me to it.

I heard her say 'Oh hey, yeah she's up stairs.'

And I was half way down the stair when Michael appeared at the bottom.

I chuckled.

"Was just thinking about you." I said.

"Yeah, well I'm always thinking about you." He replied smirking.

"Tut, tut. So much cheek." I said but I started laughing. He did too. He came up the stairs and I followed him into my bedroom.

He sat down on my bed and sighed.

"So, what have you been doing today?" He asked.

"Oh..." I said. Mentally debating whether or not I should tell him. I decided I would, but not telling him the reason. "I, uh, went to the mall with Calum."

His reaction was definitely not expected. He opened his mouth slightly and looked sad. Why? Why sad?

"Oh..." he mumbled.

He began to get nervous, he scratched the back of his head. "Uhm...is...is there anything going on between you two?"

"What? No! God no. Why?" I said.

"Oh, good-"

"Good?" I asked raising my eyebrows. He went red.

"Well, I mean...uh, I don't know." He hesitated.

"Oh, I think I get it..." I said. "You think I ditched you to be with one of your friends."

"What? No. Look, I don't care, do whatever you want." He said.

He shifted uncomfortably in his spot. I was confused by his actions. Why'd he care so much?

"Anyways..." I said awkwardly.

"Sorry..." he mumbled.

"Don't be." I said smiling. He smiled widely. But it faded soon enough.

"It's just...mum." he said.

I felt my heart beat rapidly. Panging to get out of my chest. I really didn't like his parents, Michael is such an amazing boy with amazing talent and his stupid parents don't see it. And I could think of a couple of things his mum would have said.

"What did she say?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Well, she called me a fat lazy ass, but I don't actually disagree, I woke up at 2pm." He said, chuckling.

I didn't really see the joke. Okay, he woke up late, but it's sunday. And that's his mother.

"Still not really an excuse..." I mumbled.

"I know that, and you know that, so..." he said.

"Why can't you come and live with me?" I offered. "Fuck them."

"She wouldn't let me...and it's stupid since she doesn't even give a shit." He said.

"Run away from the psycho bitch." I said.

"She's fucked up." He mumbled. Not really answering my question.

"OI YOU TWO KEEP THE SWEARING DOWN DEAR LORD." My dad said as he walked by my room. I rolled my eyes and Mike started chuckling.

"Your dad's too awesome." He said. I smiled.

Michael wasn't the only one with family problems. My mum is in prison for murdering our neighbour and for constantly being intoxicated and drugged up. Not to mention she stole a $100,000.00 ring. She definately had problems.

So, after she got put in prison, me, Mandy and dad all lived together in peace here in Sydney. She's been sentenced for life. And I will never be able to forgive her. So thank fuck she's locked up. And Michael knows all this.

I looked over at Michael, he was laying back on my bed, slowly rubbung circles around his temples. He stared up at the ceiling and was oblivious to the world around him, deep in thought.

"Mike?" I said.

He snapped out of his mind of thought, but not yet taking his eyes off the ceiling, he set his hands down on his chest and sighed deeply.

"Mmm?"

"Everything will be fine. I promise."

A/N: OKAY THIS IS SHORT. Oh well, another chapter DONE. Hope you guys are liking this, ily bye xx
