Chapter 70.

*Michael's POV*

Three more days for Brooke.

Three more until my sunshine gets taken away.

All my skies will turn to grey.

"Mikey." Her fragile voice spoke.

"Brooke..." I sighed, knowing what she was going to say next.

"Sleep." She said.

"Brooke you know I can't." I sighed.

"It's 4am, everyone else is sleeping." She said.

I looked around the room and saw that it was true. Luke, Ashton, Calum, Ty, Shay, Charlene, Amy and Amelia were all sleeping around the room. It took them a lot of Brooke's convincing for them to do it, but they finally did.

"I can't sleep risking not waking up without you." I sighed.

"I'll be here, Mike." She smiled.

"You can't be so sure." I shot back.

"Well, no." She shifted uncomfortably. "But I won't close my eyes."

"No, don't be stupid." I scoffed. "I'm not sleeping."

"Do you want me to sleep?" She sighed.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"I'll sleep because I'm tired." She mumbled.

"Okay," I kissed her forehead. "I'll be here all night."

"Of course you will be." She sighed.

"I love you." I pouted.

"I love you too." She chuckled before closing her eyes.

"My only reason." I sighed, kissing her hand that I was holding.

She was definitely asleep a few minutes later, but thankfully it was only sleeping.

I didn't do much for the next couple of hours, I just watched her sleep mostly.

Finally, I decided to make a quick detour of the hospital so I could strech my legs a bit.

I carefully got up and started walking towards the door.

"Mike?"

I looked over and saw Luke sitting up in his chair, leaving Charlene to almost topple over Shay.

"Hey." I spoke softly.

"Hey." He repeated. "Where you going?"

"A little walk." I shrugged.

He nodded. "I'll come with."

I watched as he stood up and carefully placed Charlene safetly in his spot. He gave her one last kiss on her nose and then he followed me towards the door.

"Damn, my legs hurt." He said as soon as I closed the room door.

"Yeah, mine too." I agreed, jumping up and down on my heel a bit to gain the feeling of my legs again.

"How long have you been awake?" He asked me, as I started walking nornal again.

I just shrugged, not exactly knowing how long it's been since I slept.

"Oh..." He mumbled, clearly reading my mind. "I would say 'get some sleep', but I understand why you can't."

"I don't know what I'm gonna do without her." I sighed.
