Growing up together

2 Years Later

Luke is now 11 and Amber is 10. They are walking down the creek again and skipping rocks just for fun.

"Hey, I have a question..." Luke says. "Okay go ahead." Amber replied. "Do you think you and me would ever-" Luke gets interrupted by a cracking sound. He looks farther down the woods and sees Bandit with a squirrel treed. Luke grabs his slingshot and shoots the squirrel. Luke made a bad shot and hit the squirrel in the back but luckily when the squirrel fell Bandit caught him before he got away. "Nice shot!" Shouted Amber. "Haha, nah it was all Bandit!" Luke yelled back.
When they picked up the squirrel Bandit was spooked by something. Luke tried to see what it was but couldn't get a good glimpse. Bandit took off through the woods and Luke walked further. All of a sudden Austin jumps down from the same tree Luke climbed up in two years ago. "I'm gonna get you back for what you did!" Luke quickly turns around and gets hit abruptly. Luke jumps up and gets ready for a fight. Austin was older than Luke and bigger than him. Luke dodges the first hit and comes around with a right hook. Austin is down for now but not for long. Austin grabs Luke by both of his legs and pulls him down. Austin gets on top of Luke punching him in the face over and over again. Luke was unconscious by now and Amber was about to go rescue Luke but was unsure if she would win. Bandit came crashing through the woods with his teeth showing and snarling. He grabbed Austin by his arm shaking it violently. Bandit cut to the bone and was crushing it. Amber runs to Bandit and pulled him off but keeping Austin down. She looked over to Luke and looked at Austin's arm. It was clearly broken. She left Austin with Bandit because she knew if he moved Bandit would take care of it. She picked Luke's hand,squeezed it and yelled for help. She got up and ran to Luke's house. She was in tears because she knew Luke was seriously hurt. She couldn't talk but motioned Luke's daddy to follow. He grabbed his gun and got in his truck thinking there was a wild animal. Once they got there Austin got up and bolted for his house but Bandit caught up to him and grabbed his ankle and held him there. The more he struggled the tighter Bandit's grip got. Mr. Tommy picked up Luke and put him in the truck. "Bandit release!" Mr. Tommy shouted. Bandit backed down and left Mr. Tommy with Austin. "What do you think you're doing?!" Shouted Mr. Tommy angrily. "I- I didn't mean to.. Umm you see.. My foot slipped and I fell onto Luke!" Staggered Austin. "Mhmm I'm pretty sure that's why Bandit had you pinned." Mr. Tommy said sarcastically. Austin droops his head in shame.
They arrive at Austin's house and his mom comes running out yelling at Mr. Tommy. "Now Ms. I didn't do anything to your son. My dog had him pinned after he beat my son up." Mr.Tommy explains. Amber is still in the truck with Luke as he wakes up. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay,Luke?!" She asks in a worried voice. "What happened? Amber is that you?" Luke groans.
"Yes. It's me" Amber answers. "Your dad is taking you to the hospital." Amber adds. "What happened to Bandit?! Where is he?" Luke asked worried. "He's fine! He saved you." Amber answers. "It's time to get you to the doctor."
