You are not yourself

Amber's POV
Luke was still down about his brother and we just got back from the funeral. He hasn't been himself lately. He always looks angry or sad. I try to comfort him the next I can but its so hard. He sits outside all the time just staring. I don't know what to do.
He still pays attention to me and his children but he acts like he doesn't know me. Maybe he will be back to himself in a few days.

3 days later

Amber's POV
Luke is still doing it. He won't talk. All he does is, come home from work, sit down in his chair, pop open a beer, and eat. That's all he does when he gets home. He barely says anything to me. Even Michael has asked me what was wrong with him.
I went to bed early and I heard Luke come in there. He laid down in bed and didn't even tangle his arms around me. He just turned the other way and fell asleep. I couldn't believe he didn't even cuddle. It bothered me so much.
I woke up and got ready for school. Luke was already up too. He just glanced at me. He never drinks when I'm not there because of the babies.
Lexi came home with me so that we could study together. "Hey what's up with Luke?" She asked. "I don't know. Ever since Chris passed he has been like this." I replied. I saw Luke pass by in the hall and I finally decided to approach him. Lexi just stayed in the living room and listened.
"Luke, please talk to me! What's your problem?! It's like you don't know me anymore!" I said. He turned around and looked at me. He just shrugged and looked down. I walked over to him and told him to look at me. "It's been three days and you haven't hugged me, kissed me, cuddled with me, or anything else! It's killing me!" I said to him. He slowly shook his head. "I don't know." He looked back down again. "You are not yourself anymore! Where's my hunting country man? Where's the fishing side of you?! I miss it." I said. He put his hands on my shoulders. "I'm sorry." He said. I rubbed my face and held some tears back. Lexi came in there and saw me. She grabbed my arm and pulled me out, looking at Luke with an angry look.
"Wanna go out? Just to get it off of your mind?" She asked. I nodded and we put our books away. I've never been to a bar with just my friends in Nashville.
When we got there they were doing a country dance. People where dancing everywhere! Even though Lexi wasn't country she was still a good friend and took me to a country themed bar.
We danced for a while and I kept seeing this guy staring at me. I was married and I wasn't looking for anyone so I tried to ignore him. He got up and started walking towards me. "Hello miss.. Wanna dance?" He said. The man was tall and he didn't look very nice either. Lexi was talking to some other guy and she eyed the guy who wanted to dance with me. I kinda looked up at him and shook my head. "No.. I'm good." I said. He eyed me and grabbed my arm. It reminded me of when Luke beat the crap out of another guy. I really wish he was here.

Luke's POV
Amber just left and I thought about what she said. I was being a jerk lately and she is my wife. No woman should be treated like that! What have I done?!
I called the babysitter and when she got here I got in my truck. I'm so glad I didn't drink. I sped down the road and went to Amber's favorite bar. I walked in and I couldn't find her. I saw Lexi and I asked her where Amber went. She pointed to some guy and then I saw Amber looking up at him. He was huge!
She looked terrified. He grabbed her arm and yanked her to his side. "Come on!" He yelled at her. I could feel my body get really hot. "Get em' cowboy." I heard Lexi say. I started walking towards him and he looked at me. "You got a problem?" He said. Amber yanked her arm out of his and slowly backed off. "Luke, please don't." She said. The man gave me a shove and I stood there. I knew Amber didn't want me to fight. I pointed at her. "Leave that one alone. You can mess with any other girl in here but her." I said. The man shoved me again and I could feel myself heating up with anger.
