Luke's POV
I got myself a new truck a few months ago. I rode down the road to get Amber for our date. When I arrived she came out. She was wearing a short white dress with black tights, light brown boots, and a jean vest. "You look beautiful!" I said. She smiled "Thank you.."
I helped her into my black Chevy and shut the door behind her. She quietly turned to the window and watched all the trees go by on that dirt road. She was very quiet. "What's bothering you? Are you okay?" I asked. I kinda rubbed my face because I knew it was a stupid question. "Not really.. Luke it's June 2." She said. That was the date her mom was killed. I grabbed her hand as she wiped a tear from her eye. Our families were close and it had the same effect on us as it did them. "So where are we going?" She asked. I smirked, trying to get her mind off of her mom. "Well, if I told u then how would it be a surprise?" I said. She smiled at me again. Gosh it was so good to see that smile of her's! "We will be there in about 5 minutes." I said still watching her smile.
When we got there I grabbed a bunch of blankets to lay in the bed of my truck. When she got out her eyes lit up. "Oh my gosh!" She said. There was a clear river,a huge waterfall, a big cave, and grass fields. We sat on a log and let the running water hit our feet."Look up on the hill." I lightly whispered. There were four deer grazing on a grass field." Aww! There's a speckled fawn." She whispered back. The deer stood in the field for about five minutes before they saw us.We were holing hands on the log and decided to go lay in a grass field. We just watched the sunset. After the sun went down we went to go lay down in the back of my truck. While listening to the crickets chirp we had the radio on. Amber's favorite song came on,so I took her out to the front of my truck and danced in the headlights. "Hey, remember that song I wrote for you?" I asked. She smiled and nodded. "You mean 'Play it again'?" She asked. "Yep! That's the one." I said smiling.
I pulled my guitar from the back of the truck and started playing.
Amber's POV
When he started playing his song for me, my heart started skipping beats. "She was like, Oh my God, this is my song. I've been listening to the radio all night long, just sittin here waiting for it to come on, and here it is." He sang as I hummed along. When he got finished, he flashed that million dollar smile that made me melt. Somehow my crush for him never faded away, got old, or broke. Then I finally realized. Hey! This isn't puppy love! This is real love!
"Amber, I love you." I heard him say as I was thinking to myself. I smiled and looked at him. "I love you too!" I said. He grinned from ear to ear, picked me up,spun me around, hugged me, then kissed me.
"Best night ever!" I whispered to myself while he was hugging me. Then I thought about Nashville.
"Luke we have to talk." I said nervously. He looked at me with those huge brown eyes and I just regretted what I was about to say. "I can't go to Nashville.. Dad really needs help and my brother is moving away to Louisiana." I finished. I could tell his heart sunk. "But I will love you forever when you leave." I said again. "Amber, I'm leaving next month after my birthday.." He said. I looked down about to cry. "I really don't want to go without you!" He said again. "I know." I said as I rested my forehead on his.

When he took me home all I could think about was being alone here in Leesburg, Georgia. I couldn't sleep. "What was I gonna do?" I asked myself

Luke's POV
I laid down for the night and I wondered what I was gonna do without her. He have never done anything apart and I don't want it to end then.
I kneeled by my bed and prayed to God that things would turn out okay. I couldn't sleep.
