"Oh, please come on in." Autumn voiced a bit surprised to see Bakugo and his mother at the door. She quickly rushed off to find the guest slippers after a moment.
"I'm sorry I didn't text you that we were coming over, Katsuki here distracted me. I hope you weren't busy with anything important." Mrs. Bakugo called out.
"It's perfectly fine, I wasn't doing anything important today," Autumn answered as she hurried back over to the two. "To what do I owe the pleasure of a visit?"
"We were just wanting to check on you with everything going on. Masaru would have come as well but he—"
"Why the hell are you barefoot?" Katsuki joined in suddenly. He winced as his mother smacked the back of his head. Ignoring her scolding words he kept his eyes focused on Autumn.
A small laugh left the woman's lips as she glanced down to find she was barefoot. "Please, it's fine Mitsuki. I honestly hadn't realized I wasn't wearing any slippers or socks. Old habits tend to die hard." She quickly informed the angry mother before turning to Katsuki. "In America, it's not customary to change shoes when entering a building or home. Some do just to get more comfortable but a good majority just keep their shoes on. My family was one of those that kicked our shoes off to walk around either in socks or just barefoot. I don't forget to put the slippers on very often so I'm sorry. Would you like for me to slip mine on?"
"I don't give a sh*t if you wear them or not. That just explains why the brats been more stubborn about the stupid task, he gets the weirdness from you and Snowpup." Katsuki told her as he quickly stepped away from his mother to avoid another smack.
"Katsuki!"
"It's fine, Mitsuki, I promise," Autumn reassured her before noticing the dish in Katsuki's hands. "Oh, you really didn't have to bring anything over. Please follow me and we can set it in the kitchen. Would either of you like some tea?"
"We would love some." Mitsuki voiced before Katsuki could reject the offer.
With a small growl, Bakugo followed after the pair as they began a small conversation. He was upset that his mother just had to tag herself along on this visit. He glanced around to notice everything seemed a bit more cleaned up if that were possible than the last time he was there. It was obvious that cleaning was a de-stressing task for the women. As they entered the kitchen he stepped over to the counter so he could pop the lid open. "They probably suck but the Hag is just dead set on trying to get them right." He informed as he pulled one from the dish and turned to leave the room.
"Katsuki," his mother started in her stern motherly tone "don't be rude and sit down."
Autumn could only smile at the pair as they silently had a glaring match with each other. "My, if only Sakyh could see what she could possibly be getting into."
That seemed to catch Mitsuki's attention as she snapped her neck around to look at her. "Oh? There is no way your precious little one could be even remotely attracted to my Brat."
"Oi!" Katsuki growled offended.
"Oh Mitsuki, the stories I could tell you about the type of boy my daughter falls for," Autumn told her while gathering everything she needed for tea.
"Really? It looks like you might have a chan-"
"Shut up!" Katsuki quickly cut his mother off while jerking a chair that would keep him facing away from Autumn. He could only hope it hid the warmth that flared in his cheeks.
