Ch. 69 Back to School Banter

        "Sakyh!"

        Sakyh winced hearing her name. Looking over her shoulder she found the Bakusquad a little ways away.

        "Ten bucks, Bakugo blasts them sky-high the second they jump." Hitoshi jokingly bet.

        "Twenty bucks, he waits for her to hide behind him." Zukero countered.

        "If my ankle doesn't go out first." Sakyh sighed. She waited for the group to bend to jump her before bolting away.

        "Oi, the hell did I tell all of you about jumping her!" Bakugo shouted at the pile of people now on the floor. Once Sakyh ducked behind him he pulled his hands out of his pockets ready to blast them back. The steam coming off his palm made the rushing group scramble to stop. Seeing the ground flash and raise up he slipped his hand back into his pockets. "Should have just done that from the start."

        "I thought I would give them a chance. Them freaking out gave me enough time to manipulate the ground." Zukero answers.

        "Guess we're a little too excited." Kirishima nervously chuckled. "My bad!"

        Sakyh peaked around Bakugos shoulder and relaxed as the group settled. "I get it. J-just tone it down a little? Please." She slowly came out from behind Bakugo while raising her arms up. Within seconds she was smothered in a tight group hug.

        "We wouldn't be as bad if somebody had just let her open the door." Kiminari points out.

        "If I had let you Extras in her room would still be a work in progress. You all wouldn't have let her do sh*t."

        "He's not wrong," Sero agreed before pulling back from the hug.

        "Yeah, way to be a man Bakubro!" Kirishima said.

        "Never call me that again!" Bakugo growled before stepping forward to rip Sakyh from the group. "Now let's go get lunch already."

        Sakyh gladly let Bakugo pull her by her wrist toward the cafeteria. Looking around she held her hand out for Kugo to latch onto.

        "Guys it's perfect!" Hitoshi shouted as he stared into his phone with glee. "Our couples' first family picture!"

        Sakyh and Bakugo both paused mid-step at the boys words. Turning slowly, they found all of their friends huddled around the phone.

        "Hitoshi.." Sakyh started as her eyes narrowed.

        "You have three f*cking seconds," Bakugo growled.

        "It was worth it!" Hitoshi shouted running for his life.

        "What have I told you about saying things like that!?!" Sakyh shouted as she bolted for the boy the second he moved.

        "It hasn't been three seconds!!"

        "Bakugo gave you three not me!"

        "I'm sorry I couldn't help it!" Hitoshi shouted back. "Yall looked too cute not too!"

        "I swear you just wan-ah!" Sakyh started only to tumble to the floor thanks to her ankle. "Damn it! This is already annoying!"

        Hitoshi quickly spun around. "Are you ok?" He was not expecting the girl to quickly get him pinned to the ground. "You were faking?!?"

        "No, I wasn't but it worked to my advantage." She huffed as she locked his arms under her legs. "Now, you know not to say sh*t like that! I don't want him to resent me more than he already does!"
