Chapter 19: Round 2- The Cavalry Battle (Part 1)

Sorry to randomly put something up at the beginning but I just wanted to say that there may be some people that are out of their character a little for this chapter and the next 2 that will be posted soon. "The first game for the first-years is finally over, and what a game it was! Now, lets take a quick look at the standings, shall we?" Midnight's voice echoes out through the stadium speakers.

Panting with her hands behind her head, Sakyh looked up towards the large screens. What place had she gotten?

1st: Class A- Izuku Midoriya

2nd: Class A- Shoto Todoroki

3rd: Class A-Katsuki Bakugo

4th: Class B- Ibara Shiozaki

5th: Class B- Juzo Honenuki

6th: Class A- Tenya Iida

7th: Class A- Fumikage Tokoyami

8th: Class M- Sakyh Yagi

9th: Class A- Hanta Sero

10th: Class A- Eijiro Kirishima

Sakyhs eyes widened in surprise. Had she really done that well in the event? Heck Midoriya even got first place! A smile quickly rose to her lips as she quickly looked towards the area that the teachers were seated. Her eyes locked onto her fathers face. He was looking elsewhere which she no doubt guessed was where her green friend was. A giggle slipped past her lips. Leave it to her father to be oblivious to her for a few minutes. She must have got some of her lack of focusing from him as well not just her mother. Her eyes stayed on him for a few minutes until his eyes scanned the students and met hers. Her smile grew even more as he gave her a large smile and a thumbs up.

"Only the top 42 will advance to the next round. But don't be too let down if you didn't make the cut! We've prepared other opportunities for you to shine. Now the real fun is about to begin. The chance to fully move yourselves into the limelight! Give it your best!" Midnight announces before cracking her whip once again. "Let's see what we have in store for you next. Will your wildest fantasies come to life? What could it be? The waiting is torture~. Prepare yourselves...for this!"

The hologram behind Midnight quickly came to a stop on a panel that had "Cavalry Battle" written on it in yellow and black letters.

Sakyhs face fell some seeing the name of the next event. This event was going to be hard for her to use her quirk if she was in the wrong spot.

"Allow me to explain. The participants will form teams of two-to-four people as they see fit. In theory, it's basically the same as a regular playground game. But there is one difference. Each player has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course." Midnight states.

A few students begin to voice their views on the battle leaving Midnight to glare at them before finally snapping.

"Maybe you should shut up and let me explain things to you!" she growled out before calming herself. "Now then. The point assignments go up by increments of five, starting from the bottom. For example, 42nd place is worth five points, and 41st is worth ten. And the point value assigned to the 1st place contestant is...Ten million!"
