"By my commandment, heed my call and grant my wishes!" A small tornado formed in Pier's hands. The gust of wind that was encircling around it made his hair flutter a little bit.
"I still can't find any books about chant-less magic" Pier sighed as he looked at the small whirlwind in his hand. He pointed it at a patch of grass and initiated an attacking position.
The small whirlwind then left his hand and aimed for the patch of grass but it stopped midway.
"Seriously, this is starting to get annoying." He scratched the back of his head and sighed again defeatedly.
"It couldn't be helped. I'll learn it on my own then!" He said as he went inside the mansion to get a few things he needed.
"Greetings, young master"
"Greetings, young master"
"Greetings, young master"
Pier thought he could actually create good music and rhythm out of the servant's greetings for him. It's not that he hated it, he was just getting tired of the constant greetings everyone was giving him wherever he goes.
When Pier reached his room, he immediately grabbed a notebook and a magical pen. He was first amazed at how wonderful the magical pen was. Its ink was combined with magic that it can go away if the user wants it to and stay permanent even under certain circumstances.
'If I had this in my past life, I wouldn't have to study much at everything and just simply cheat my way through tests,' He thought after feeling the cold metal body of the pen in his palm.
After getting his materials and a little bit of snack, he went back outside and into the training hall of the central mansion. It was still unoccupied unlike the other training areas of the different locations in the Belmiunde Household.
'Maybe it was meant for family use.' Pier shrugged his shoulders and entered the training hall. He placed the snacks he brought beside a clear space and opened the first page of the empty notebook.
"I'll go with attack magic first. Initial attempt," Pier wrote down. It was his habit to record the things that he was trying to study on his own without the assistance of any books or journals. It was also the reason why Pier had so many piles of paper in his room as he continuously recorded things out of his own experiments.
"Mind-cast" Pier wrote down and after doing so, he sat on the ground not caring that his clothes would get dirty and closed his eyes.
'I definitely tried this before but it did not work. I hope I could do the same when I dismantled the wind orb though.' He crossed his fingers and went to work.
In his head, darkness was surrounding Pier and in front of him was the small whirlwind.
"Why don't you try helping me inside my mind?" He asked the whirlwind but all it did was twirl in front of him.
He raised his hand and pointed it at seemingly endless darkness and thought about the wind moving in that direction. The whirlwind left his hand but after a few seconds of leaving his palm, it dissipated into nothing.
"Huh?" However, one thing caught Pier's attention. The whirlwind was slowing down from its initial speed when it left his hand up until it disappeared into nothing.
He tried casting the whirlwind once more and this time, he was able to carefully observe the gradually reducing speed of the whirlwind as it got farther away from him.
"Why is the speed getting slower?" He asked himself as he threw another whirlwind.
Pier opened his eyes and started writing in his notebook.
