"Young Master, do you like the vampire?" Gideon asked as he was following behind the young master.
They were now walking back to the third mountain after resolving most of the things that they missed.
However, Gideon's question made Pier stop in his tracks for a moment.
"I don't know," He responded as he continued to walk again.
Gideon had seen the vampire affectionately cling to his master when they met.
"Why'd you ask?" Pier returned a question to his knight.
"I am simply curious of my master's love affairs," He spoke with a playful tone and Pier found the necessity to roll his eyes at his knight.
"I still have many things to do before I can focus on such things, Gideon," He sighed when they reached the path that Pier remembered he walked on before he got lost in the fourth mountain and found the giant bear monster.
"But can you describe the type of person that would surely catch your attention, young master?" Gideon asked as he slashed a few tree branches that were blocking their path.
Pier was fascinated with how comfortable Gideon immediately became with him that they were now talking about his personal love life.
"Someone smart"
"I guess I'm already out of the question," Gideon laughed as he now saw a clear path that led to a hill.
"Idiot," he replied as he also saw the hill that he had escaped from. He felt a wave of relief slightly get on his nerves after knowing that he was back on the third mountain where he did not have to worry about a giant bear monster chasing after his life.
"Can I inquire further about my master's preferences?" Gideon continued to ask and Pier had to breathe out another sigh.
"Someone-"
"Someone who's not a knight."
Eek!
He flinched when a voice spoke beside him.
Gideon glared at the person who came out of the darkness.
"Pier, let's talk," Ciaran spoke as he directly stared at the young master's eyes.
Pier also stared back at the green-eyed man who was towering him and Gideon.
Ciaran was now wearing clothes and he had changed his cloak into one that fits him perfectly.
Pier's cloak that he wore after shifting back into his human form was too small to cover his entire body and Pier was glad that Ciaran did change back into his normal clothes.
He stared at Gideon and the knight had a worried look on his face.
"Young master-"
"It's alright, Gideon. He's with me, I won't get into trouble. I'll be back after an hour," Pier spoke and Gideon wasn't convinced with his master's statements.
They have just been reunited now and they would get separated again?
He once more stared at Ciaran as he clutched his sword tighter and his eyes bore holes in the Vampire Prince's head.
But Ciaran did not even spare the knight a glance as he was solely focused on the white-haired noble who was wearing a red cape.
"I'll come back. You won't lose your home again," and with the statements, the crease on Gideon's forehead disappeared at the mention of his home.
