Asher hurriedly went back to the clearing to try and talk with Pier.
'No, that was not the thing that I was supposed to say!' When he reached the main clearing, he immediately went to the area where Pier's designated carriage was located.
On his way to the clearing, he met the knight that had sworn his loyalty to Pier.
"I greet your highness," Gideon said and bowed. The small smile he had while going back from the area of Pier's carriage instantly disappeared at the sight of the Crown Prince.
Gideon personally admired the prince for his spectacular swordsmanship skills but he was upset as well with what happened between Pier and the Crown Prince earlier. He did not know the full story but he knew Pier's point of view.
"Knight Gideon, where is the young master?" Asher asked and Gideon calmly replied.
"The young master has returned to his carriage to rest, your highness. What the young master did after waking up was immediately to catch a magic beast to prove my claims so he must have been tired, your highness." Gideon explained and Asher stopped for a moment.
"That was the first thing he did...?" Gideon nodded his head.
"Yes, your highness. I begged the young master to eat and rest more but he was determined to catch a magic beast just so people would stop talking about him." Asher's mind went blank after hearing the knight's explanation.
'No... It isn't supposed to be like this!' He panicked and immediately went to the Young Master's carriage, leaving the knight behind wondering what had gotten the prince so panicked.
When Asher reached Pier's carriage, he knocked on the door multiple times but no one answered.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Pier still did not answer.
"Pier!" Asher called to the young master but it was not effective at all. Silence responded to Asher's call.
He was about to knock one more time when the door suddenly opened.
"What's with all the knocking, a person is trying to rest!" Pier said with so much annoyance in his tone that Asher flinched.
"Y-Young master..."
"Yes?!" Pier was really annoyed because he was already sleeping soundly after doing so much after waking up and he haven't regained his energy fully.
"Are you okay?" Asher asked hesitantly.
Pier's eyebrows furrowed at the Crown Prince. He was slowly starting to permeate Pier's nerves and it won't be long before he'd start talking trash with him.
"I'm fine, your highness. Please do allow me to rest. I have done so much in just a short time." Pier said before he tried to close the door but before it fully did, Asher's hands stopped the doorframe and the door did not soon budge because of the difference in strength.
"Your highness-"
"I'm sorry."
"Huh?"
"I'm sorry, I was in the wrong earlier." Asher's reddish hair fluttered as he spoke that and Pier felt another level of irritancy arise in his body.
'I am starting to have anger issues because of this scumbag of a prince.' He thought and gave up trying to close the door. Asher was an expert swordsman and Pier was an untrained potato.
"Okay, now let go, your highness. I wish to rest." Pier stated but Asher did not move.
"Did you eat?" Pier calmed himself down from bursting with anger.
