As soon as Pier reached the Central Mansion of their household, he immediately ordered the carriage to go straight to the library that was on the way from the Central Area and the Southern Area.

He recalled the conversation he had with his father, Ronnovian.

---

"Father, I wish to learn magic."

Pier and his father, Ronnovian, did not have a close relationship but he did not treat him badly at all either. Both simply did not care about each other and Pier grew up without paternal guidance.

"Do as you wish, but I do not have the time to teach you myself." his father's stern voice reached his ear. It seemed like Ronnovian was a little too uninterested in how he was speaking toward him.

Pier was disappointed. He thought that at the very least his uncaring father would teach him magic. He heard many things about Ronnovian Belmiunde too.

Ronnovian observed his son and contemplated the course of action he should take next

"I will assign you an instructor instead." Pier's ears perked up at the statement.

"Then I will look forward to it, father. Thank you!"

He was smiling ear to ear as he went out of his father's study when he thought about learning magic from another who is good at it.

When Pier reached the library, it was close to four o'clock in the afternoon by then.

He got off the carriage and walked towards the entrance. The giddiness he felt never ceased to make his heart flutter and all the stress he had from dealing with the young duke and the Crown Prince disappeared.

'A good thing about this library is that it is open twenty-four hours a day. I can learn until late at night here.' He smiled like a villain at the thought. People who were at the library's entrance flinched at the sight of the infamous young master smiling mischievously.

"Welcome, young master Pier!" A person who was about in his mid-twenties greeted Pier.

Pier greeted him back. The person whom Pier assumed was the librarian flinched at the response of his young master.

"Can you lead me where the books for magic are?" He asked as he looked around the uncountable shelves that were filled with even more uncountable books. Reading was never a problem for both Eliam and Pier. His memory was far better than anyone else's back in his world and he was even surprised to know that Pier had the same quality of memory. This was one of the things he was glad about Pier even though he was a dumbass who continuously makes bad choices in life.

The librarian had another sort of shocked expression on his face but Pier paid him no attention. Once the librarian got back to his senses, he smiled once more as if he never had worn such an expression.

"Ah, let me guide you there myself, young master," he said as he started walking inside the humungous library. Pier followed him behind obediently while still looking around. He would always visit libraries before and these places are one of his safe havens. They passed by multiple bookshelves before stopping in the middle part of the library where a shelf that was marked 'Basic Magic' can be seen.

"I presume the young master wanted to learn magic so I brought him here. I do hope my assumptions weren't wrong, young master." Pier liked the librarian in front of him. He smiled at the librarian who no longer flinched at the action and thanked him.

"Ah, following one's intuitions sure is a good thing for an individual. Thank you, I was indeed looking for this section." The librarian nodded back at him before bowing and excusing himself after successfully leading the infamous young master to his desired location.
