A/N: I'm kinda struggling again, so comfort stuff it is

The itch was getting worse, you only knew two things that would help it. Either time, or actually hurting yourself. You just wanted it to go away, you just wanted to get rid of this irritating itch. You were just sitting by the kitchen table scratching your arm, wanting to do so much more, so much worse. You had made yourself some of your favorite non-caffeinated tea and had just been sitting there, waiting for Dabi to come home.

He had been gone for a few days again, and you worrying about whether or not he was going to come home or be found dead in a ditch, wasn't really helping your mood. You had tried to call him, but it had gone straight to voicemail each time.

"Fuckfuckfuck" you muttered and took a sip of your tea. It had gone pretty cold already, but you didn't really care.

You took your cup of cold tea, and stood up, walking to the couch and sitting down, before turning on the TV and switching to the news. If Dabi had been arrested, surely there would be something about it on the news, but there was nothing, nothing about him anyway.

Before you knew it, you had fallen asleep on the couch with your cup of tea on the floor beside the couch.

You woke up to your almost empty tea cup falling over and someone cursing quietly.

"Dabi?" you muttered sleepily and raised your head from the arm rest.

"Yeah, just me sweetness"

You could smell the burnt fabric and the stench of burnt flesh that always hung in the air around him after he had overused his quirk. You looked up at him and were about to ask what had happened, but he just sat down on the couch next to you and exhaled loudly.

"Fucking bullshit" he sighed and draped his arms on the back of the couch.

"What happened?" you asked, and sat up, rubbing the sleep from your eyes.

"Nothing for you to concern yourself with" Dabi just said with an annoyed expression on his face.

You knew not to pry when he looked like that, because that wouldn't get you anywhere and he would just get even more pissed off.

Now that you were conscious, the itch came back with a vengeance. You rolled your sleeve up and scratched your wrist.

Dabi wasn't stupid, he had picked up on your tells a long time ago and this was certainly one of them.

"You wantin to hurt yourself again?"

"The urges are bad, and I just don't know how to handle them"

"The old stuff isn't working?" he asked and scooted closer to you on the couch.

"I don't know, haven't really felt like trying any of them, I just really want to cut"

"And me being unreachable probably didn't help huh?" Dabi sighed and pulled you to his chest.

"No, but I've powered through the past few days, and I'm hoping if I just give it time, it will go away"

"Does that work?"

"It's the only thing that always works, even if takes a week for the urges to go away"

"I won't be goin anywhere for a couple of days so you'll have me all to yourself" Dabi smirked.

"Thanks"

"No problemo" he said and hugged you closer.

You relaxed against his chest and just stayed there while Dabi caressed your hair and whispered sweet things to your ear.
