Chapter 36: She Is Not A Criminal: George

"Kingsley!" I called running after him.

"Yes George?" He asked.

"You can't put her in a cell!" I yelled.

"She is a death eater. You should be happy I did not kill her the moment I saw her!" He yelled back.

"You don't mean that Kingsley." Harry said catching up.

"Let's talk in my office." Kinglsy said, pulling us into his office.

It started out as Kinglsye, Harry and I but shortly McGonagall, Hermione, Ron, Luna, and Neville joined us.

"What are we going to do with them?" Ron asked.

"I see that we have two options." McGonagall said.

"I see one option." Kinglsye said.

"McGonagall, what are your plans?" Harry asked, ignoring Kingsley.

"We turn them over to the dark lord, or we let them join us." She said simply.

"I have one plan, kill them." Kinglsey said everyone gasped.

"That is out of the question! And turning them back over to the dark lord means certain death!" I yelled.

"Kinglsey, that is extreme." Hermione said.

"They are death eaters!" He yelled.

"They can reform." Luna shrugged.

"She killed the bloody minister of magic!" Ron yelled.

"We have no proof she did that, maybe it was Malfoy!" Harry yelled.

"Maybe, he would go to the end of the world for her." I sighed.

"How do you know?" Kinglsey asked.

"I have seen it. When I went to find her 3 years ago he helped me, said that she should not be part of this. When Draco saw me on the floor of the manor he tried to shield Lily from it but she saw anyway. When he walked her down the aisle to bloody Zabini he looked at me with pity." I said but Harry cut me off.

"She is married?!" He yelled.

"Yeah, she married Zabini." I looked at the clock. "Two days ago. He did it to hurt me." I said.

"So she is Lily Zabini now?" Hermione asked.

"I don't know." I said.

"Does she love him?" Neville asked.

"I don't think so. I mean she spent her wedding night on the floor next to me, so I am guessing now. Anyway, when she got back before we left Draco looked like his world had stopped turning until he saw her safe. When she was spasming out from using her magic like that he held her. He looked scared but not surprised. He looked like he had done that before." I said.

  "Maybe he loves her but she has done things that are unforgivable." Kinglsey said.

"Be that as it may, she still risked everything to come here and get me and her friends to safety. She thought she could be safe with us." I said.

"It seems like we have to vote." McGonagall said.

"I vote to let them join us." Luna said.

"We are voting on the fate of one of our friends?!" Harry yelled.

"So it would seem." Kinglsey said.

"You know my vote." Harry said leaving but stopped and turned at the last second. "If you send them back to the dark lord or if you kill them, you will lose me. And you kind of need me to win this war." Harry said leaving.

Kingsley sighed.

"I vote to let them stay." Luna said again.

"I say stay." Hermione said.

"Stay." McGonagall said.

"Stay." I said.

"Stay.'' Neville said.

"Send them back." Ron said. I gave him a horrified look.

"Ron." I said.

"She tortured me for two days! I won't forget." He said. "So, I vote to send them back. If he kills them one less problem for us." Ron shrugged.

"I vote to kill them now. It would be an easier death." Kingsley said.

"Well, it seems like we should let them stay Ron." I said.

"Yes, it does." McGonagall said.

"If this goes wrong, if they betray us, I will not hesitate to kill them." Kinglsey said and Ron nodded.
