"Harry, I really am fine." I said as he carried me up the stairs.

"Lily, you just had a seizure. You're not ok. If you or Malfoy won't tell me I will find out for myself." Harry said, holding me higher.

"Fine. I don't think I am allowed to be out of my cell." I sighed.

"I am the chosen one. What are they gonna do? Throw me out? They need me." Harry said, kicking open a door.

"Hello Harry." She paused. "Harry, who is that?" Pomfrey asked. I turned my face and she gasped. "Lily?" She asked.

"Hi, Madame Pomfrey. Long time no see." I smiled.

"I had heard a rumor that you were...back. What is wrong?" She asked.

"She had a seizure in her room." Harry said, setting me down a bed.

"Not my room. My cell. They are keeping me and some of my best friends in a cell. Well multiple cells. I guess we would be too dangerous together. You know, being death eaters and all." I smiled at Pomfrey.

She cast a diagnostic spell and gasped.

"What is it?" Harry asked. I looked at her, my eyes pleading to say nothing.

"Potter, leave us." She said.

"No, What is wrong?" He asked, trying to look at the scan but she vanished it. "Pomfrey." He said sternly.

"Harry James Potter I won't ask you again. Leave. Or so help me Merlin, I will throw you out of my hospital wing!" She screamed.

"Right, Sorry. I will be outside." He said turning and leaving fast.

I laughed. Then I started coughing.

"Thanks." I said as she waved a spell to clear my lungs.

"Lily." She said worriedly.

"Let me guess. May I?" I said laying my head back and closing my eyes.

"Sure." She said.

"Your scan. Assuming it is the same one I have looked at from others. Showed that my body is full of dark magic. Like to the point where it could kill me?" I said.

"Yes. This is not the first time it has been a problem, has it?" She asked. I shook my head. "How long?" She asked.

I looked away.

"Lily, how long have you been deathly sick?" She asked again.

"2 and ½ years." I sighed, putting my hand over my face.

"Lily." She asked kindly. "When was your last scan?" She said.

"Um. 5-10 months ago? I don't know. Draco would know exactly. He went to all of them with me." I said.

"Lily?" She said.

"Yeah?" I asked, eyes still closed.

"Open your eyes. Look." She said, I opened my eyes.

I gasped. My body scan was all black.

"I take it this is the first time it has been all black?" She asked.

"Yeah, At my last scan it was...a dark grey." I sighed.

"How long did the doctor tell you?" She asked.

"She said 3-5 years. Maybe more if I stop using my magic." I sighed. "Is that still right?" I asked.

She hesitated. "Pomfrey?" I asked worriedly.

"By this I would say 1-3 years most." She sighed. I took a shaky breath.

"Even if I don't use my magic?" I asked.

"Even if you never use a drop of magic again in your life. You would still only have 1-3 years." She said.

I sat in silence.

"Lily?" She asked.

"Please don't tell anyone." I said.

"Lily." She said sweetly.

"Please. I will tell who I want to tell." I said. She nodded.

I got out of bed and pushed the door open.

"What is wrong?" Harry asked.

"Just the flu." I smiled. He smiled.

"Good. I was worried." He said.

"So. what way back to my cell?" I asked.

"Yeah. ok. You won't be there for very long though." Harry smiled leading me.
