She looked beautiful. Her dress was red with off the shoulders arms and a small dip in the neckline... I watched as Pansy carefully helped her down the stairs.
"Hi." She said when she got to me.
"Hi." I smiled while taking her hand.
I led her onto the dance floor.
"Dance with me?" I asked.
"I thought you would never ask." She smiled.
"Who's idea was this?" She asked as we swayed.
"Hermione's. She thought that it could help make you feel better." I said while spinning her lightly.
"Did you know that Draco taught me all these fancy dances so that I could dance with people at death eater balls?" She asked.
"No, I had no idea." I said.
"I figured." She smiled. "I know many dances now like the waltz, that was a fun one to learn. The foxtrot, The Rumba, the tango." She said, listing them off to me.
"That's a lot." I said looking at her.
"True." She laughed.
I could not remember when I had been this happy. Not in a long time. Dancing with fairy lights twinkling with the girl that I loved in my arms.
"I love you." I said kissing her.
"I love you too." She said, reaching up to kiss me.
"I can't believe Malfoy is dancing with Hermione." I said.
"He is?" She asked, looking at them.
"Wow." She said looking at them. "They look kind of happy?" She said,
"They do." I said.
She looked back at me and smiled.
"I love this. Thank you." She said, reaching up to touch my face. She looked really pale.
"Lily, are you feeling alright?" She asked.
"Never...better." She said starting to fall.
"Lily!" I said catching her. She started to seize in my arms.
"Help!" I called. As soon as Malfoy saw he came running.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he got there.
"She was fine, then she was pale, then she passed out." I said.
"We need to get her to Pomfrey!" Hermione said.
"Right." I said picking her up. I quickly ran up the stairs to the medical wing.
"Help!" I said running in.
"Oh no, set her down." Pomfrey said. I sat her down on the bed as she kept seizing.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Dark magic." Pomfrey said, pushing me out.
I paced in front of the curtain. Maldfoy came in a few minutes later.
"She is working on her. What's wrong? I take it, you know?" I asked.
"I do know. And I think it best if Lily tells you herself. It is not my place." He said sitting down.
"Ugh!" I said continuing to pace.
A few minutes later Pomfrey came out.

"I gave her a sedative to help. I tried to fix some of the magic but there is no cure. I will let you be." Pomfrey said leaving the room.
I moved the curtain and saw her lying there. She had what the muggles call an IV dripping into her arm. Her dress had been transformed into a romper looking thing.
I sat by her bed on the left and Malfoy was on the right.
"Thank you for being here." I told him.
"She is my family. Family over everything." He said.
A few hours later Harry came in.
"How is she?" He asked.
"Still asleep from the sedative." I said.
"Ok." He said sitting down in a chair at the end of the bed.
A little later Lily made a wheezing sound.
"All my boys are here." She said with a light smile.
"Lily, you're good." Kingsley said walking in. "I think you should give us an explanation as to what is happening with you." KIngsley said.
"You're right." She sighed.
"Great. If you feel up to it, meet me in the war room in 10 minutes." Kingsley said leaving.
"He is charming." She said laying her head back down.
A few minutes later Malfoy brought her in a wheelchair. I picked her up and sat her down in it.
"I don't need this." She protested as I rolled her down the hall to the war room.
"Yes you do. You're still on your IV drip so wheelchair it is." I said pushing her into the room.
"Oh so many people." She said looking around at the full round table.
