Misaki's P.O.V

"Ugh...note to self, teenage me doesn't have the tolerance adult me does when it comes to drinking..." Misaki groaned to herself, laying her face on her desk as everyone began to depart the classroom. She had somehow made it through the whole school day today, but still felt rather weak and slightly nauseous.

She then heard a knock at her desk, to which she also groaned at.

"Go away..." she sighed, before turning her face to the side to see who stood next to her.

Low and behold, it was Kisaki.

"Please don't tell me we have a study session after class today..." She whined, keeping one eye open to look at him. She noticed his hair had started to grow out a little.

Thank the gods for that.

He stared at her with a raised brow.

"What's got you looking like shit?" He asked, amusement laced in his tone.

She rolled her eyes as best she could before sitting up and rubbing her temples.

"Booze."

He nodded slowly, tilting his head at her. "Yeah, that'll do it. Didn't take you for a drinker, though."

She groaned. "Everyone's been saying that! I barely drink! What's wrong with every once in a while?" She asked, although more to herself.

"Fair enough." He commented. "But we do have a study session planned for today, so..."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll grab my stuff." she responded back lowly, tidying her things and throwing them into her bag, before standing and patting her skirt down.

"Lead the way, dork."

He walked off but not before a scoff left his lips.

"Coming from the biggest nerd I know."

She felt a fox-like smile grace her lips and she snickered at his rebuttal.

"Still so easy to annoy, huh?"

He rolled his eyes at her comment as they walked down the hallway, heading towards the library.

"Only if it's coming from you."

She sent him a fake 'OMG NO WAY' face, placing a hand on her heart.

"Could it be...that 'mr-I-don't-care-what-anyone-says' actually cares about what little'ole'me says about him?" She teased.

He sighed, holding the library door open for her and motioned her inside.

"Such a gentlemen." She mentioned, sending him a toothy smile and a dramatic curtsy before going in.

"Should I expect that you'll always be a pain in the ass if you're hungover?" He then responded, walking towards their usual spot towards the back of the library. They both preferred it because no one typically hung out anywhere near it, so it was private.

She snickered. "Well, it's helping wake me from my near-coma so I guess so, yeah."

"Good to know."

She smirked at his deadpan response and wrapped her arm around his, taking him by surprise, before dragging him behind her as they went to their usual corner.

"Have you always been so rough?" He then asked, as she unwrapped her arm from his and plopped down in her usual seat, feeling much more energetic now than she was ten minutes ago.

...bounce-backs when you're 14 are way better than when you're 27, so at least I have that.

"Why? Do you like it rough?" She then asked, wiggling her brows at him at his comment.
