Misaki's P.O.V.

Misaki continued applying pressure to Baji's wound, but the blood was still spilling out at an alarming rate.

"God fucking damnit..." she hissed as she continued to blink away the tears that threatened to fall. She didn't want to lose Baji. She didn't want him to die

She heard a cough just then, and swiveled her head towards Baji's, eyes wide.

"That really...fuckin' hurts, yah know?" Baji managed to drawl out, attempting to smirk towards her. She furrowed her brow and shook her head.

"This isn't a time for your jokes, Keisuke. Just...don't talk, don't waste your energy. I've called an ambulance, but I nee-"

One of Baji's hands wrapped around her wrist gently, effectively shutting her up.

"This isn't...this isn't that bad. I'll be fine. If not, I'm okay with that too."

Misaki could feel a burning sensation take over her eyes, and, with no control over them left, her tears began to fall freely, staining her blood and sweat stained cheeks.

She furrowed her brows as the silent tears dripped down her face. How could he be okay with dying? Here and now, of all places?

"...please don't cry, Misa."

She found herself half-smiling as he said that, a pitiful laugh leaving her lips.

"Telling me not to cry is probably just going to make me cry more, you asshole."

He closed his eyes and chuckled at her comment, a wide smirk appearing on his face.

"Yeah, you're..."

A heavy cough leaving his lips cut him off, and the sudden movement caused his wound to spill out more blood. He grit his teeth and grunted in obvious pain and discomfort.

"Where the fuck is that ambulance..." She growled under her breath. They should have already been here by now.

"Baji..." she then heard Chifuyu mutter. She nearly forgot he was here with her, and she did her best to control the tears that fell from her eyes, not wanting to look weak in front of him. She didn't want him to believe that all hope was lost.

"Chifuyu, it's going to be alright." She managed out, although she wasn't if even she believed the words that rolled off of her tongue so effortlessly.

Misaki watched as Chifuyu's lip began to tremble and he punched the ground in frustration.

"I'm useless. I'm fucking useless. I couldn't do anything to protect my captain, to protect Baji!" He hissed out angerly.

"This shouldn't have happened. We knew...we had a plan!"

Misaki took in his words and a grim frown appeared on her face.

He's right...there's something missing. Why did Kazutora even stab Baji in the first place? I don't understand...

She was pulled from her thoughts when she realized it was eerily silent. That is, aside from the sound of bone hitting bone.

She looked over her shoulder, focusing on the ground below, only to see that most of Valhalla had cleared out.

They must have dipped as I began to tend to Baji...I wonder why, though.

Her thoughts were answered rather quickly, as her eyes darted around the area, quickly honing in on two figures; Kazutora and Manjiro.

Her eyes widened at what she was seeing; Manjiro was currently straddled on top of Kazutora, beating him to a bloody pulp. Punch after punch was thrown, all direct hits to his face.
