Misaki's P.O.V:
Sano Residence
When she finally dares to open her eyes after explaining what she had been up to behind the scenes to both the vice-commander and commander himself, Misaki couldn't help but gulp in nervousness.
"What do you mean you were working for the Haitani brother's?!" Draken nearly explodes, an exasperated look appearing on his face. "And why are you just telling us this now?!"
"I, um," she starts. She hadn't planned to tell them all of what she had been up to, but it just came out via word vomit. She must have been a lot more stressed out than she previously thought. "I can't tell you why...at least, not the original reason."
Draken threw his hands up in the air and took a step back from her before he began to pace.
"But I can promise you it had nothing to do with Toman. It was in regards to a...personal matter."
Draken shook his head and sent her a disappointed look. He wasn't wrong for it. In fact, she totally understood why he was upset. She understood it perfectly.
Manjiro, on the other hand...
Ruby eyes flickered over to obsidian, only to see that his expression had not changed.
I literally can't tell if he hates me or could care less.
It hurt her to see him looking so...bored.
"This isn't good, Misaki. It doesn't look good, now that we know they're involved with Tenjiku."
"I know, I get it. I just...can you just believe that I'll tell you the information you need the know? The information that is relevant to Toman? I know I should have mentioned it sooner, but there was just so much going on."
He sighed and combed his fingers through his hair before averting his eyes towards Manjiro, awaiting instruction. Their leader said nothing but simply nodded, eliciting another sigh from Draken, although this time more softly. Walking over towards Manjiro's bed, he sat down.
"Tell us what you can."
She nodded, and felt herself stand up straighter. "I needed information on someone in my family. That, I can tell you."
A questioning look appeared in his eyes but he motioned for her to continue.
Clearing her throat, she did so. "Everyone knows that the Haitani brother's know just about everything that goes on in Tokyo. If for some reason they don't, they can at least point you in the right direction. When I first went to them with questions, they just simply had me drop off a package to someone as payment. I didn't think anything of it...I got the information I needed."
She thought back to the first delivery she did for the brothers, back to the first time she met Kakucho and Izana. Looking back at it now, he was preparing for Tenjiku to make its public appearance.
"I was simply given an address to deliver to, so I did. When I got there, I delivered the package to two older guys I had never met before. They were obviously delinquents, but I was there to drop something off for them so I wasn't too worried. That's when I was first introduced to Kakucho and Izana."
Draken took a deep breath, likely in surprise. "This was a couple weeks ago?"
Taking a deep breath in, she nodded. "It was. I had never heard or seen Kakucho before, so I didn't think anything of it. Izana seemed slightly familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it. So, I dropped off the package and left. My job was done."
