Softly, Jennie traced her girlfriend's face with her fore finger. Trying to remember every detail of her, from her long lashes, tiny moles and her morning hair. At it's finest glory, Lisa's face became even more define. And the brunette couldn't help but to ask how lucky she is. Lisa is the best gift she recieved. But like all other things, it will change, it will vanish. With every tear is a stab in the heart.
_____
The brunette silently stood outside her sister's hospital room. Observing her girlfriend talk to her sibling, they're having a good time. Irene is in her critical condition, and she would do anything to pro-long her sister's life. Except for one thing, letting go the one she loves. Or she thought.
"Babe, hey you okay?" Lisa spoke when she saw Jennie woolgathering. Lost in her thoughts. She put her hand over her lover's back and caress it. "Yeah" shortly the girl answered. But the thai isn't convinced.
"Are you sure?" She ask, taking Jennie's hand with hers, intertwining them. The brunette couldn't help but to cry. She surprised Lisa by hugging her. Holding her as if her dear life is on her girlfriend's hands. There she remained, memorizing how warm the thai is.
"Princess, what's wrong?" Lisa asked nervously, gulping. She knows where this is going. When the brunette backed out. Her tears begun to escape.
"Let's end this." Jennie stated. Looking away, she was breaking so does Lisa.
"We've talked about this. And no Jennie, I won't leave you." She replied sternly. Gritting her teeth. She didn't let go of her hold.
"Irene loves Lisa, she is her strength Jennie. She's the only one who can help her right now. Please sweetheart, you understand right?
Her mother's voice rang inside her head over again. Irene needs to be operated as soon as possible. Her family is required to fly out the country for a better service. While Jennie can't leave because of her work and her other family here. Yes, she has two, from her mother and father side. Before the brunette could even talk the couple separated, building their own lives. And Irene is her half sister from her mother. So it was difficult for her to decided.
"She needs you" she stated
"But I need you too" Lisa dropped on her knees as she hugs Jennie's waist. "I need you more than anything in this world. You know that." She buried her face on the brunette's stomach.
"She needs you most" she said, tearing Lisa's arms from her.
"Don't you need me?" The thai mumbled.
I need you, so damn much.
"No, now go to her. You'll learn to love her. I want you to Lisa. Do this for me..."
I love you
______
5 years later
"Jennie, thank you" the brunette calmly turn to her sister and smiled.
"For what?" She questioned, acting innocent.
"For giving me a family" both of them went back watching Irene's son and her wife, Lisa play. Enjoying the heat from the sun and the splashing waves.
There were regrets, what if she didn't let her go. Maybe they're married today and have their own mini me's. If she only put herself as top priority then she wouldn't feel the pain, that she have been carrying for years. Jennie lost one person and a dream. But she saved one and gave her a family.
