It was now the last class of the day.

As Kevin had walked both Alex and Matthew to class, though the kitten had remained close to the redhead while pouting heavily about Kevin having to leave his side.
Jimmy had asked him to keep an eye on him and now... Now he was going to fail that mission because of the school's rules. "Do, do you have to go? Can't you stay with us?" the brunette asked hesitantly.

"I do have to go. I don't have any more classes to attend, and by obligation, I need to leave, or else they'll kick me out," Kevin answered, making Matthew snicker a bit at the thought of the staff trying to kick the redhead out of school.

Knowing full well that wasn't going to end well, but a single glare from the wolf had shut him up quickly, as he cleared his throat, "That's true." Matthew started earning Alex's attention.

"It happened to the last ones who tried to stick around with friends; they got kicked out and detention the next day," the eagle continued, making Alex pout even more at this.

When he hugged Kevin's arm, the teen mumbled, "But... But I promised..." "I don't wanna be separated from you," the kitten said, wanting to hug Kevin's arm tighter but afraid to hurt him further.
"It's just for a while, we'll spend time together after school," the wolf replied, keeping his voice down, as Matthew nodded, agreeing with what his brother was saying.

"But that's too long..." Alex whined slightly while glancing up at the wolf, who sighed, "Alex, I've had appointments longer than this. I'll be fine, I'll just be at the hosptial," Kevin says as he looks at the kitten, who was now looking at him with big pouty eyes.
"Not to mention, this is your first day of school, so you have to attend class," Matthew chimed, making Alex turn his gaze toward the eagle, who almost retracted his statement.

But his mama taught him better than this, as he crossed his arms, "Sorry, but rules are rules," the ealge says when Alex nuzzled Kevin's arms, making both brothers sigh.

Kevin then began patting the kitten's head, while Matthew went into the teen's bag to take something out of it, "I don't like school..." the kitten mumbled seemingly on the verger of crying, "Same, but you just gotta survive it," Matthew replied earning a glare from Kevin making him shut up, but for only a moment.

As he then held a stuffed wolf in front of Alex, earning the kitten's attention, "Here you can hold Flof until we visit Kevin at the hospital," he says as Kevin nods in agreement. Still, Alex didn't move, causing the brothers to have to think up a new plan, so Kevin could leave without getting himself in detention for trying to stay in school longer, actually, without getting all three of them in detention.

When the two looked at one another before nodding their heads in a silent agreement with one another, for what they planned to do.

That scene that played out in the hallway was stressful, as Matthew needed to forcibly separate Alex from Kevin without further injuring the wolf; this even included a teacher or two as well to help remove the teen.
With a lot of bribery on Matthew's end to get the now sobbing kitten away from Kevin, who was trying to return to the redhead.

But he was held back by Matthew while the two teachers who helped were rather exhausted, not expecting the kitten to be that strong, not even the duel-haired male expected it.

While Kevin had managed to leave the school building just in time for the bell to ring, signaling the beginning of the last class, when the redhead sighed heavily to himself in annoyance as he held his arm that Alex had been holding onto earlier.

No, he wasn't annoyed at the scene Alex had called, but mainly his inner wolf, who pestered him.

Upset that he had caused Alex so much stress today, and wanted him to make it up to the kitten later to help him destress.

.Back in school.

Matthew had managed to calm Alex down, as the kitten hugged his stuffed wolf close to his chest, with his face pressed into the toy's plush fur, not really paying attention to what was being taught, yet the teacher had let it slide for today.

Considering the fact of what had happened earlier, and Matthew explaining how Alex had made a promise to look after Kevin, but due to the school rules.

He had to attend class anyway, especially on his first day of all days.

The eagle glanced towards the kitten every once in a while to check on him to see the teen in the same position, his face pressed into his plushie's fur, but calmer now.

Taking a few breaths from time to time, as if trying to meditate.

As Matthew secretly hoped school would end quicker so they could meet up with Kevin later, while making a mental note to work on the duo's separation...

Once class was finally over, everyone was packing up while waiting for the bell to ring, meaning everyone was allowed to chat with friends as long as they were not too loud.

When Matthew sighed heavily, seeing a certain blond heading their way while Alex was still in the same position, with his face pressed into his stuffed wolf that smelled of Kevin.
"You guys really are one entertaining bunch! So, what's your relationship with my brother?" she questioned.

"None of your business, Tora, now leave the guy alone," Matthew answered for Alex, who was currently still destressing and not in the mood for talking.

"I wasn't asking you," she growled, glaring at the eagle who returned the gesture, "So what, can't you see he's trying to calm down?" the eagle shot back.
"Oh please, I don't think you want to mess with me," she then said in a hushed tone with an intent of a threat, "Uh-huh, sure,  right back at'cha," the eagle says as she stomped her foot, annoyed.

This caused Alex to flinch a bit, but he ignored the two until Matthew stood up from his seat, earning the kitten's attention. "Look, we don't have time for you, and I doubt we ever will. So, if you excuse us," Matthew says as he picks up his and Alex's bags, just as the bell rings.

"We've got to hurry. Vamanos, Amigo, it's time to go," Matthew then says to Alex, who stares at him confused, but seeing as the eagle had his hand out for him, the kitten quickly catches on.

And took the older male's hand before they both left the classroom with the other students, without having to go through Tora, as they left out the classroom's second door.

"You know, Alex, I would have expected you to quickly get the gist. But I'm sure Kevin and mi familia will teach you Spanish later," the eagle says, "Or at least the basics," Matthew then added on while thinking about it, though Alex wasn't really paying much attention to what the duel-haried male was talking about, as instead he was worried about whether or not Kevin was doing ok.

Had he made it to the hospital?

Did anything else happen to him, like another ambush?

He looked like he was suffering all day, so was it really the best decision to let him go alone without being fully healed?

All of this was going through Alex's head while following Matthew, who helped him get through the crowd,  when the eagle gently squeezed his hand, earning the teen's attention, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Don't worry, Alex, we'll get you to your Amante very soon, ok? Just wait and see," Matthew says as he holds back a little laugh, seeing as he knows Kevin would try to harm him if he said that to the redhead's face, and with Alex, only half listening and not knowing Spanish.

He could get away with this.

For now.
