Once the two had made it to the hospital, they were immediately told of Kevin's location, as the two saw the redhead sitting on the hospital bed, calmly typing away on his laptop, when his attention shifted towards Alex and Matthew, who had entered his room.
"Kevin," Alex said, glad to see that the redhead was ok as he instantly went over to the older male, who moved his laptop to the side to give the kitten access to hug him properly.
"How was school?" Kevin questioned while petting the teen's head, "Awful, she practically watched us the whole class, and then came over to talk to us at the end of class," Matthew said, annoyed as his accent started to reveal itself to the two.
As Kevin knew who the eagle was referring to.
"Also, we should teach Alex some Spanish," the eagle adds on as Kevin nods in agreement. "We should," the redhead said when Alex glanced up at him.
"How is everything?" the kitten then questioned almost hesitantly, "I'm fine, you're doing a good job. What about you? Are you ok?" Kevin then asked when the kitten pressed his face into the alpha's chest.
"No..." Alex mumbled, earning a sigh from Kevin, who then lightly patted the brunette's head as before glancing towards Matthew.
"And you. You're just oozing with anger," Kevin states while rolling his eyes, causing the eagle to cringe. "Amigo, you know I hate that word. But I've calmed down now, nothing hurts," Matthew answered as he took a seat in one of the many chairs, relaxing.
"Good to know," the redhead says before he glances toward his laptop for a second, before pulling Alex onto his lap, allowing the kitten to cling to him.
Then he got back to work on his project as the neko purred softly as he carefully nuzzled his face into the wolf's neck, feeling at ease as he had long dropped the stuffed wolf he was holding earlier, to which Matthew, of course, gracefully had it put away, so the kitten wouldn't have a heart attack if he had lost it.
.
.
Sometime later, Kevin was walking through town carrying a sleeping Alex in his arms and Matthew at his side carrying both his, Kevin's, and Alex's bags.
"Amigo, are you sure you should be carrying Alex in your state? Maybe I shou-"
"I'll be fine. Besides, would Alex really want you to carry him?" Kevin says, talking over Matthew, who thinks about it for a second, then gives a slight sigh, "I...Guess I see your point. But don't overwork yourself," the eagle says in a stern tone.
"Can't promise that," Kevin replied while looking forward, ignoring the other male's glare since it was pointless to even bother trying with the redhead.
When they soon stopped at a crosswalk, when a thought crossed Matthew's mind, "Wait, since school's back in, when does it come home?" the eagle questions.
Making Kevin think about it for a moment, "She'll probably be in some motel with a babysitter her mom hired," he says while rolling his eyes, only to grunt in pain, alarming Matthew and Alex at the sudden sound.
Only for him to place his hand on the kitten's head to relax him, as Matthew looked at Kevin with worry, when the wolf's phone went off.
Sighing, Kevin soon adjusted the way he was holding Alex in his arms in favor of getting his phone from his back pocket to see who was calling him, but when the duo saw who it was.
They decided to ignore the call and just walk in silence towards the apartment complex, Kevin's temporary home until he graduated high school, and a place where they'll find some peace until two certain guests return...
