Third period came around, when Kevin and Alex both got ready for Gym class, though as usual, the two got dressed out of view of the other students while sharing a stall together in the locker room, before heading towards the bleachers to wait for class to begin.
When Kevin took out his phone to check something, as Alex then leaned closer to the redhead with a curious gaze, "What are you doing?" the kitten asked curiously.
"Checking emails," Kevin answered honestly, allowing the teen to look at his phone, as they sat in silence together, when the kitten gently tugged on the wolf's shirt, earning his attention. "Can I get one too?" he asked while glancing up at Kevin.
"Sure," the redhead answered when he spotted a familiar name in his emails, "Um, K-kevin," someone called his name, earning the two's attention to see Julie.
Tora's closest friend, when Kevin grimaced at her presence.
While Alex began to hug Kevin's arm, unsure about the blue-haired teen who had never really shown an interest in them before until today, as she nibbled on her lip nervously.
Not able to properly look at the redhead in front of her as she began planning with the soft cushions of her headphones, "I... I need a favor to ask ya," she starts off, only to immediatly look up at him panic flashing in her eyes, "But, but hear me out please. Before you deny, its very important," she said quickly, making Alex frown a little at this.
Though the wolf just shifted his attention towards his device once more, while Alex kept quiet and just leaned more into Kevin, "Please, I promise I'll be quick," Julie says, nearly begging.
But Kevin wasn't budging up until Alex spoke up, his voice small and almost unnoticeable, as he mumbled, "Maybe we should?"
Earning a heavy sigh in response, before he shifted his gaze towards Julie, "Don't make me regret this... What?" he questioned the other teen, who nearly collapsed to her knees, but clearing her throat, she spoke quickly but clearly to the redhead, not wanting to waste his time.
"It's about Tor-"
"You want me to keep an eye on her, because you know she can't take care of herself, and you don't trust the man her mother hired to stay with her until Friday?" Kevin says, already knowing the information about the blue-haired teens concerned, which shocks her.
"U-uh, well... Y-yea," she says rather unsure, though Kevin only narrowed his eyes at her, "Why?" the wolf questioned his tone harsh.
Startling Alex a little, as he glanced up at the redhead who was now glaring at Julie.
"B-because...." Julie's voice cracked before she cleared her throat, "Because we both know how gullible and an easy target she is. I-I want to be able to protect her, but... B-bbut I don't have that ability, I can't stay with her all the time, so please. I'll... I-I'll pay you back everything you've spent on them, I'll pay you to keep an eye out for her, just please. Keep her safe," Julie says with tears starting to fill her eyes.
With both humiliation for practically about to cry in front of everyone, or well, mostly Kevin, and from genuine fear at how hopeless she felt in the moment.
As sure, she knows Mark can protect her, but unlike Kevin, they don't live in the same place currently, so he can't always be there.
When Kevin sighed heavily while feeling Alex's eyes on him, "Fine," he says begrudgingly, making Julie happy to hear this as she began roughly rubbing her eyes to stop the tears that started running down her face, with a small sob leaving her lips.
Which alarmed Alex, though Kevin just shook his head, "You love her, don't you?" he questioned, keeping his voice low from any eavesdroppers.
