Jimmy's POV
The rest of the day, after leaving the restaurant, was the best!
Yes, Kevin did pay for everything, though I did try to pay for my share, but... He had confiscated my wallet... I will pay my boy back; that place was not cheap, and I wish he had at least split the bill.
Then, after Jessie was picked up by her ride and taken home, we continued the rest of the night together until we met up with Matthew's parents the second we arrived at the zoo during after night, yes, he paid for that as well.
For everyone, as he led us to the canine and reptile sections, those were my favorite animals.
He also got me a little key chain as well...
He's never beating the allegations that he secretly loves me, cause why else would he spoil me so much, regardless of it being my birthday today.
But once Matthew left to go home with his parents, yes, Kevin did check him before they left, as now he walked me home while carrying a sleeping Alex on his back after we had tired the poor boy out, "I can't thank you enough, this was the best day ever. But you really didn't need to spend so much on me, babe," I said while glancing toward him.
When he glared at me, "Don't call me that. And didn't I say don't worry about it," he replied as he shifted his gaze a head of him, "Not like it came out of my personal, it was what I reserved for you," he muttered, yet I still heard him, as my heart skipped a beat.
'He reserved spending money for me!!'
I felt my eyes water with tears from how happy that made me feel when we arrived at my house, as I opened my front gate to let myself in, and I looked at Kevin, a huge smile decorating my face.
"Thanks again, Kevin," I said for what could possibly be the hundredth time today, as he rolled his eyes at me, "Whatever," he said, looking annoyed with me, but I knew he actually wasn't.
I chuckled, "Oh, come on. I know you care, I'll see you around, Kevin," I teased him, but he just began walking away from me, while I started walking backwards, watching him leave.
'I wish I could have gotten a kiss on the cheek from him. That seriously would have made my birthday 50 times better than it already is...'
"I love you," I said once he was too far away to hear me, knowing he'd probably shut me down immediatly just for uttering the 'L' word alone.
I then made my way towards my front door, as the gates closed behind me, securing my safety as I freely allowed my mind to wander on how my day went.
Including this morning, as I got to spend time with Rylie, and got a gift from the chairman, speaking of, I need to get it out of my locker when I get back tomorrow.
Not to mention everyone wished me a happy birthday, including my patients' families; it was all so magical.
Oh! Not to mention getting to meet my birthday twin as well!
Third-person POV
Kevin walked home in silence, not planning on going to the apartment, wanting to sleep for a while longer, and not get bothered as he then adjusted Alex on his back, when the kitten mewed softly in his ear before nuzzling his neck.

A day or two later.
Kevin was working on his laptop as his eyes lazily read whatever was on the screen in front of him, as he was waiting for Alex and Matthew to get out of school.
