It has been a year since Annalise Montgomery lost her fifteen year old sister Lilly in the middle of a sunny day when she was waiting in a parking lot.
Annalise takes the case into her control when the police are empty handed. No leads, no traces, n...

I had hope that getting sleep would take away the heavy feeling that holds my body firmer to the ground, but it doesn't. It's clearly morning outside, perhaps even early hours.
Scott isn't in bed, which is unusual given recent events. His laptop is closed and sitting beside the mattress, but his shoes are gone. There's no note left behind.
I stretch my only good arm above my head to relax my spine, then I stand to go search for the blonde boy. I follow the sound of Carla's voice through the house, finding her leaning against the kitchen bench with her back to me.
"- what happens when they get there?" I have walked in on phone call, and for some reason I don't walk away, I stay hidden around the corner to listen. "Shouldn't you wait for her? Yeah- yeah, I know- but how are going to tell her that you went ahead and searched the area? It's her sister, Nat."
Immediately, I know their conversation is about me. My heart rate spikes and the sound around me disappears. I act before registering it. My bare feet sneak myself through the house and I easily slip outside the Walker residence without Carla noticing.
I don't care that I'm without shoes and only in Scott's briefs and shirt, all I care about is that he and his mother are searching for my sister without me. Without telling me.
My only guess where they are is the same abandoned park where Reggie made his claims. So, after some time, I'm walking down the street which is lined with various cars and trucks.
I wasn't expecting this. The many police vans and cars surprises me. I wander down and bite down the stings and bites of the earth beneath my feet while I begin the walk between the trees.
"Miss, you need to turn around. This is a police scene." A male officer tries stopping me before I even reach the park. I sidestep him and attempt to get around, but he grabs my upper arm. That only earns him a harsh elbow from me.
"Stop," this time it's another officer. She's unfamiliar, but they way she glances at me suggests that she recognises me. "Let her through. The Sheriff would allow it."
The male, who is still clutching his side where I hit him, scowls and wanders away. I don't like being touched, so he got what he deserved.
"They're down by the water." The brunette officer steps to my side and allows me to walk. "I was there with Natalie and her son when we arrested the young man."
I swallow a ball of razors that forms in my throat. I don't need any reminders, nor do I want to hear this right now. I think she get's the hint since she falls silent and stops walking me.
I don't go all the way down to the bridge or lakeside. I remain in the tree line, scanning the team of forensics and officers. People are sweeping around the area to search for any indications of my sister.
