Being back in Seamville is weird. Even though I was out for only a few hours, it was too long. I didn't pay much attention as I dropped Scott Walker off at his house early hours of the morning, or when I got to my apartment.

The homesick feeling was delayed to now. It's after midday, and I feel horrible for even leaving town. What if in those few hours Lilly Montgomery appeared at the apartment? I would've missed it.

"Excuse me, Annalise?" I'm pulled from my thoughts as the receptionist gains my attention. I stand from the horridly uncomfortable seat across from the desk and walk towards her. "I'll just get you to sign this, and then you'll be good to go. They'll send a new copy of your registration in the mail."

The redhead slides me a slip of paper with a mine on the bottom, handing me a pen. I thought signing documents wouldn't take as long as it has.

I sign the paper and she takes it back. "Awesome. You're all good to go, Miss Montgomery. Have a good day." She's very chirpy. Way too chirpy for her job.

I pull open the heavy glass door, leaving the small building I was stuck in for longer than necessary. Living in a place like Seamville is not a luxury when it comes to simple paperwork or documents.

My phone buzzes in my jacket pocket, and it's not mystery who it would be. Scott Walker has already messaged me once today to confirm that we were still meeting at the abandoned house.

I'm suppose to be there now, but I hadn't planned to be stuck in the small building for so long waiting for a two second job. I fish my phone out as I cross the empty road, heading for the carpark.

This is the area of town where most of the offices are. It's always quite empty since there isn't anything too spectacular here. We're a few years away from being like the rough side of Kemmington.

Scott-
- I'm at the house, no police tape here anymore so we should be fine. Are you almost here?

I read his message as I step onto the pavement on the other side of the road. The only reason I received his message is because I unblocked him following last night's conversation.

I send a short reply back, briefly telling him that I'm on my way now. He may say he's patient, but blondie isn't always.

I walk around the mesh fence that blocks the carpark from the sidewalk, stepping through it where the driveway is. There's a few cars parked for such a small side of town. I assume it's mostly the workers and people like me needing stuff. There's a car yard next door so I wouldn't be surprised if at least a few of the cars belong to those workers.
