No matter that it happens everyday, I still hate waking up just as much as the last. Scott let me sleep in as much as I could, thankfully I remembered that I easily could get my way with him.

He'd come into my bedroom trying to wake me for breakfast, but I pouted like a child and refused.

Now, sometime later, I force myself out and wander outside my bedroom. There's no sign of Scott, but his laptop is open on my kitchen island despite it being the weekend.

I take a peek, at what's on his screen, seeing some booking website for a resort further east from here.

The days following the run in with Channing were quiet. Scott and I spent it staying inside the apartment while he worked, and I caught up on a lot of much needed work- like organising Lilly's belongings, setting up the spare room, and cleaning. It's the calm duties before the storm of having to look for a job.

Blondie had talked about the idea of going away for a weekend, but I didn't know it was something he was looking into. I think he wants an escape after all the formalities of Reggie Cohen's trial. It was difficult on us both to answer so many questions and speak to all those involved. Especially for me.

I stretch my arms above my head and walk around the island, ready to make a cup of tea until my feet hits something leathery. Scott's full bag. Zipped up.

My feet act first, taking me to the bathroom where I can hear the shower running. The door is unlocked, of course, so I let myself in and also open the shower door.

"Why is your bag packed?"

He flinches at first since his back was too me, but he turns and flashes me an ear to ear grin. "Look who finally decided to wake up." Scott steps towards me, bending down slightly to press a single kiss to my lips.

My eyes roll. "Answer the question, Blondie."

I can already feel a small spray from the shower head hitting me, but thankfully I only am wearing my underwear. Scott hasn't seemed to mind me slouching around the apartment wearing little or no clothing. It was my choice since it still has been very hot with the weather.

"You passed your drug test, all your rules are scrapped now." He tells me and tips his head back so that the water runs through his hair. I swallow and try to keep my stare focused on his face. "I don't have to be your babysitter, as you call it, all the time. If you want me out of your space, I can now."

That's why his bag is packed. Part of me had guessed as much, but the other half wanted it to be a surprise that he had booked accommodation and that we were going away.

"You're leaving?" I step into the shower and close the door behind me since the floor was getting wet. I don't necessarily want to dry that.

Scott pushes the water out of his hair. "Do you want me to leave?"
