12) Bonding time

Clint and Thor came into the lab to find the trio still huddled on the floor. Nobody really knew how long they had sat there like that but, all of them were stiff from sitting like that. It was obvious something happened but Thor and Clint didn't want to pry right now. With a nod between the soulmates, they knew this was something to be discussed later. 

Riley stood up and accepted a hug from Clint and a wave from Thor. She knew she hadn't cried but she still felt exhausted. She sighed to herself considering going to her room but really not wanting to be alone right now either. When she looked up, Clint was already smiling at her and Thor seemed to be staring at her, lost in thought. 

"I want to get to know my soon to be sister in law. Why don't we do a night of festivities and entertainment?"

Riley's eyes widened as her memories were still fresh in her mind, the last time there was to be a night of festivities and entertainment had been a horrible night. She knew that it wasn't the same thing here with the avengers but she still needed the confirmation. "What does that entail, exactly?"

Thor stood speechless while he continued to stare. 

"Did I get something on my face? You know what, it's okay. I don't want to slow you all down. I can just go to bed, I am really tired."

"Please don't lie princess." Wanda and Peter walked in because Wanda had heard the distressed thoughts from Riley from upstairs. 

Everyone else looked between Riley and Wanda confusedly. "What did she lie about love?"

"Everyone, get the media room set up and start picking one movie each. Riley will pick a movie from the selection. I know the perfect game for us to play as well. Riley, sweetie, you and I are going to go get you ready for a night of fun and relaxation. Do you want us to invite your boys?"

Riley was hesitant but nodded. She hated that she was coming across weak and shy. She could never be considered shy and she refused to be seen as weak ever again. Wanda smiled and asked if Nat was allowed to come help too which made all three of the girls smile and walk out of the room. As the remaining men walked towards the media room, they all asked questions about what had just happened. Bruce let them know with only vague references but it was enough for all of them to see red, either because of their own budding friendship with the girl or because of their soulmate's friendship with her. After that, they proceeded to set up and let those who they had all begun to call Riley's boys know of the plans for the evening. Tony started calling for every type of fast food under the sun while Steve yelled for him to add fruit and veggies to the list. Bucky began getting alcohol and mixings set up in the room as Loki shook his head at him and added juices, sodas, and water to ensure nobody got alcohol poisoning tonight. After everyone was done, they sat around a long table in front of the screen and waited with the movies piled on top of it. 

Tony finally spoke up, "Where are the girls?" 

Clint smirked and decided to tease them. "Oh! Wanda and Nat decided to take some personal time with Riley and make sure she was THOROUGHLY relaxed before tonight since Riley tends to be on edge when around all of us. Don't worry though! We made them promise not to wear her out too much, we wouldn't want her falling asleep before we play a game." Bruce was laughing hard while Peter and Thor smiled. All four of the other men looked ready to murder Clint. 

"WHAT!?!" Thor blocked the door as the men lunged to hunt down the girls, everyone else fell over laughing at the spectacle.

Wanda and Nat had led Riley back into the lift and noticed how she seemed to be in pain. "Are you okay Riles?"
