Chapter 46: What have they Done?

Hindi naman ako nagsalita, she continued walking at sumunod naman ako. May mga batang tumatakbo and some were just doing their thing.

Kung idedescribe ko sila, they... were poor and pitful to look at. Hindi din kasi maayos ang suot nila, pero malinis naman ang paligid.

Konti lang ang andito. I thought marami sila, pinagtitinginan tuloy ako. Maybe because I'm new to their eyes.

May nakikita naman akong mga kung anong scar sa mga mukha nila, konti lang ang nakita ko. I think I saw that same scar sa lalake?

Not sure, pero san galing ang scar nila? It really looks the same. Wala naman akong nakitang scar sa mukha nung babae.

"What are you... guys called?" mahinang tanong ko naman, even though I lost my left eye. My right eye can still see clearly.

Nilagyan ng bandage ang left eye ko sa ngayon. "Us? We're called half-bloods. Dahil we're half angel and half demon."

Sagot niya naman, san ba kami pupunta? We're still inside the cave yet it feels like nasa labas ako dahil sa sobrang liwanag.

Pumasok naman kami isang maliit na daanan that has a stairs pataas. Stairs if made of cave materials na kinarve lang para maging hagdanan.

The stairs lead to a cliff outside at makikita mo ang tanawin. It was a nice scenery na maraming bundok at mga puno. I can see rivers from up here too.

I'm sure sa malayo... is the angel and demon kingdoms. "Klein saved you from the cave nung naghahanap siya ng halamang gamot."

Panimula niya, umupo naman siya sa sahig and I also did what she did. "The lady with messy hair is names Phoebe, siya ang nag-dala saiyo dito."

"and I'm Calypso, they call me Mother Calypso kahit di kami blood related. I am there leader." Pagpapatuloy niya naman.

"Tell me child, why do you want to die?" matagal tagal naman ako bago nakasagot. Since they helped me, maybe... I should... answer.

"I... deserve to die. I killed a lot of people who are close to me, ng dahil sa katangahan ko. My curiosity leads them to their deaths." Paliwanag ko.

Pinaliwanag ko namana ng nangyari sakin bago nila ako nakita sa cave. She looked at me pitifully. "So... they're still the same."

Kumento niya, nagtaka naman ako sa sinabi niya. She slowly smiled at me and patted me in the head. "We, half bloods ay isa sa mga race kasama ng anghel at demonyo."

Napatigil naman ako sa sinabi niya. Is she going to tell me...? Everything? Pero isa akong outsider- why would she do that?

"Do you know why wala kayong alam sa history? Why you have blessings and why your kinds cover a sinful secret?"

"Long ago, God created 3 races, the angels, the demons and halfbloods. Dahil sa appearance namin, God prefers the angels and demons more." Panimula niya.

I didn't say anything at nakinig lang sakanya. "We all live in harmony before. Pero dahil nga mas paborito ni God ang demons and angels, we were at the bottom."

"mas superior samin ang mga anghel at demonyo, wala kaming magagawa. Then someone from your race? Or was it the demons? Decided... to kill God."

My body tensed up sa sinabi niya, ano? I thought God disappeared long time ago. "Of course, hindi sila mismo ang gumawa but us... half-bloods."

"Kasi nga we're the lowest of the low, angels and demons started experimenting us. Doon niyo nadiskobre ang blessing." She continued.

"Do you think your ancestors discover blessing just like that? Of course not, they experimented us and made blessings para patayin ang panginoon."

Nakita ko naman siyang inilahad ang kamay niya at nakita yung scar the same na nakita ko sa ibang tao sa cave.

"This the sign of the experiments, scars na nagtatagal generations to generations. Pag may bagong nanganak, they always have this scar sa katawan." Paliwanag niya.

"Hindi ito nawawala at nagpapatuloy ito forever, it can't be cured at all." Hinay hinay ko namang hinawakan ang kamay niya na may scar.

"A-anong nangyari...? Bakit wala kaming alam-" hindi ko natapos ang sasabihin ko dahil ngumiti lang siya.

"The experiment was successful at tuluyan ngang nawala ang Panginoon. Pero one of us turned into monsters... yun ang tinatawag niyo na corrupted species." -Calypso.

Nanlaki naman ang mata ko. "S-so you mean... you're..."

"Yes... we are the corrupted species. Pero we're not the same time, it's because a certain someone has the blessing to turn us into monsters." Putol niya sa sinabi ko.

"Kami kasi yung mas malapit and mas suitable to be corrupted kasi half angel-demons kami. Our kind makes the strongest corrupted species." She sighed.

"Pwede din naman ang mga anghel or demonyo pero they were weak." Napalunok naman ako ng paulit ulit sa sinabi niya.

"B-bakit kayo... bakit kayo ang ginamit ng kauri mo? You said that person turns people into monsters. Bakit kayo magkalaban?" tanong ko naman.

She shrugged and smiled. "That person was the one who killed God at gumawa ng corrupted species for revenge. Revenge to those who wronged that person."

"That person became powerful at gumawa ng maraming corrupted species which lead us to extinct. We asked for help sa mga anghel at demonyo kaso..."

"They saw you as monsters?" tanong ko ulit and she nodded. "that person hates angels and demons ba?"

"Oo naman, yung taong iyon ang sanhi kung bakit naghirap kami ngayon. Pati na ang lahat ng race, the corrupted species won't be killed pag wala kang blessing diba?"

Tumango naman ako sa sinabi ni Calypso. "When that person killed God, mas lalong lumakas ito. That person became greedy of power."

"Buti nalang at hindi na kami ginambala ng taong iyon. So we live peacefully, somehow we also kill our kind, corrupted species. Pero nahihirapan kami..."

"Marami ang namatay at marami din ang naging corrupted species sa race namin. Konti nalang kaming naiwan." Dagdag niya.

"Actually, may tumulong samin. Those couple were kind. But their help didn't last long, they died helping us."
