I felt someone shaking me as my consciousness came back to me. I opened my eyes and found myself in my own room, in Nathan's arms again. Why? Because I had my first bad dream that night. Nightmare. He happened to be awake at the time and came over. He was still asleep by the looks of it. I looked and saw Dad. He smiled awkwardly at me.
'We've got to get going in half an hour love. Meet you at the reception,' he whispered. I nodded and he walked out of the room. I turned over to see Nathan still asleep. He looked peaceful but I knew that I ought to wake him before I left.
I quickly slipped out of his arms and tiptoed to the bathroom. There, I threw my pyjamas off and slipped into my jeans and top. I then brushed my hair, swept it up into a ponytail, quickly applied makeup and slipped my socks on. It was then 5 to 7. I then turned the bathroom light off and opened the door to find Nathan awake. He was sat up in bed, looking around the room. When he found me, he smiled.
'You going then?' he asked me. I nodded. He got out of bed and came over to me. He hugged me tightly.
'I'll miss you,' he said.
'I'll miss you more,' I replied. He laughed.
'You really want to have this fight? I'm pretty sure I'm the clear winner?'
'Don't bet on it.'
We let go and finally managed to make it out of the door, taking both room keys and Nessy's bag.
I dragged the suitcase to the lift and steps and started to drag the case down the steps. Nathan quickly changed course and followed.
'Why you going down the stairs?' he asked me.
'It takes longer,' I said and raised my eyebrows at him. He rolled his eyes and laughed. On the way down we of course had the argument on who carried what, even though I could've carried it all. I finally let him hold Nessy's bag as he kept persisting.
We reached the foyer of the hotel and went outside to see my dad waiting. Dad smiled at me as the driver took the case and put it in the boot. I turned to Nathan. He pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly. I hugged back. I didn't want to let go.
'I'm going to miss you,' I whispered.
'I'll miss you more,' he whispered back. I laughed a little. We then pulled away and I slowly stepped back and climbed into the taxi. I smiled sadly at him as Dad shut the car door and we drove off. I still felt like I was leaving part of me behind...
