This Ain't The End - Part 5

 We walked out and I immediately felt the hot sun beating down on me. It felt good. I started heading in the direction of the mini club while Nessy ran up ahead. She was adorable in her pink "My Little Pony" t-shirt, spotty shorts and summer hat.

'I'll save a sunbed for you if you want?' Dad asked me. I nodded and gave him a smile in thanks. He went off to the towels and sunbed dock and I ran to catch up with Nessy. I caught up with her finally and we entered the cool, air-conditioned mini club building and I knocked on the door, whilst Nessy took her little sun glasses off. Rose was inside and she buzzed the door open. We walked into the spacey room.

'Ah Lola! Nesta! You come for mini club?' she asked us. I nodded.

'Just her today,' I said, indicating Nessy.

'Okay! But come around later for the pool. That's around about 3. If you just sign the little one in, we'll look after her,' Rose said. I signed where I had to sign, thanked Rose and turned my heel and started to leave.

'Where you going?' Nessy asked me, tugging on the rim of my shorts. I turned round and kneeled down to her.

'Nessy I'm quite tired now after travelling so I'm going to go to Dad. But you'll be okay because you're a big girl! Aren't you? Look! There are loads of kids your age!' I said. Her bottom lip started to wobble and her eyes got watery.

'D-don't go...' she stuttered out in the cutest way possible. Nessy often got nervous when either myself or Dad wasn't around. School was something we only just managed to make her go to.

I couldn't possibly leave her like that! Then a girl, about Nesta's age came skipping up to us.

'Hello! Are you new? What's your name? I'm Ellie. Do you want to play with me?' the girl said, looking at Nessy.

'Yeah Nessy. Go play with Ellie. She'll look after you,' I said, pushing her to the direction of this Ellie girl. Nessy looked at me for a long time with her big black eyes wide and full of thought then nodded. She walked towards Ellie and the two ran off to the ball pit. In seconds I could hear shrieks of laughter and happiness coming from Nessy. I laughed.

'She'll be fine Lola! We'll look after her,' Rose reassured me. I smiled and nodded and left the place.

I walked out of the nice, air-conditioned building to the warm sun filled landscape and walked to the pool side. I then started scanning the edges for Dad. I finally saw him and walked over to him. He waved me over as soon as he saw me. I walked over and dropped my bags on a sunbed next to him. I pushed my camera case underneath the bed and put my bag next to me. Then I crept onto the bed and lay down.

'How's Nesta?' Dad asked me.

'Fine... Already made a new friend!' I answered him. He nodded, laughing a bit. Then turned quiet. I sat up and reached into my bag for my MP3. I took it out and put the earphones in. Then I rested my head back and shut my eyes underneath my sunglasses.
