As I came conscious, I felt a cool yet warm breeze come across my face. I kept my eyes shut though. Then I felt someone sit on the bed and shake me gently.

'Come on.... Get up Lo...' I heard Nathan's voice say. I found it pretty amazing that I could identify his voice first thing in the morning. After smiling a little at the nickname he'd given me, I moaned and rolled over. He shook me again.

'Come on now. I know you're awake,' he said. I smiled to myself and opened my eyes. I found myself in a sunlit room. The room was warm but the balcony door was open so there was a cool breeze.

'You awake yet?' he asked. I nodded.

'Yeah,' I said quietly. He got up off the bed.

'Good! Because everyone else has gone down to the beach!' he said. I pushed myself to a sitting position and sorting my hair out.

'Really? What time is it?' I asked him.

'Half 11,' he said. Wow.... I'd never slept in till then. 'Your Dad said to let you sleep because you'd be tired,' he said. I nodded.

'Well come on then! Get ready! I've wasted about half an hour in here waiting for you. I don't plan wasting any more,' he said. We were silent for about five seconds.

'Really? You waited for me?' I asked him. He looked at me and nodded. I smiled. 'Thanks,' I said. He shrugged.

'No problem,' he said. So I pulled myself out of bed and walked to the bathroom.

'I'll be done soon,' I said and shut the door. First of all, I quickly washed my face with my flannel. Then slipped into some shorts and buckled up my watch and my usual bracelet from Mum. I then opened the bathroom door and walked over to the dressing table and got a bobble. Walking back into the bathroom, I started on my makeup. As I was finishing my foundation, I heard someone come in the bathroom. He put his hands gently on my shoulders.

'You don't need that stuff,' I heard Nathan said. 'You look fine just the way you are,' he said. I smiled.

'Thanks,' I said, screwing the foundation bottle up. Then I reached for my mascara and gave my lashes a few strokes with the wand. I next moved onto my hair.

'God how long do you take!?' Nathan asked me. I smiled.

'Almost done. I am a girl you know?' I said, putting my hair into a ponytail, and then blinking at him innocently. He rolled his eyes. Then I left the bathroom and picked up my bag.

'Shall we go then?' I asked him.

'Finally!' he cried. I grabbed my hat and sun glasses, slipped into my jelly shoes and we left the room.
