As I drifted out of my dreamland, I felt someone shaking me. It wasn't until I felt some tug my hair hard that I woke up.

'Agh! Stop it!' I said. Sitting up, I saw Nessy tugging at my hair and the guy next to me with his hand on my arm. They both stopped.

'Good work Nesta,' he said and gave Nessy a hi-5. I laughed as her tiny hand went up to hit a hand that was probably twice the size of hers.

'What?' I asked him.

'We've landed,' he said. I looked outside the window and yes indeed we had landed.

'Look Nessy! It's Lanzarote!' I said, pointing to the window. She was about to run up to the window but I caught her.

'No no. We can't do that yet. The plane's still moving,' I explained to her. She sat back on me and rubbed her ears.

'My ears feel funny...' she moaned with a frown. The guy and I laughed.

'That's what happens when a plane lands. You know, if you try and swallow, it might go away!' I told her. Her eyebrows furrowed.

'Swallow what?'

Just then, the seatbelt sign was switched off so after taking off my seatbelt, Nessy climbed off of me and I got a bottle of water out for her. As I was getting the rest of my things together, I noticed her drinking and very obviously swallowing – it was quite a funny sight.

Zipping my bag up, and putting my hat on, I took Nessy by the hand.

'Well it was nice meeting you,' I said to the guy who was also standing up and getting his bags together.

'Yeah... Might see each other around?' he asked me. I nodded, though knowing we'd probably never see each other again.

'Sure,' I replied and Nessy and I left the business section of the plane. We got off the plane and walked down the steps. They were quite steep so I had to help Nesta down them. Once we'd gone down the steps and we were following everyone else to the airport as Dad usually trusted me to deliver Nessy anywhere safely, Nessy talked.

'Lola.... Do you like that boy?' she asked me. I was a little baffled by that question.

'Um.... Yeah he seems nice,' I said. But she wouldn't stop there.

'Do you loove him?' she asked me, with a bit of a tune on the word "love". I laughed and rolled my eyes.

'No Nessy. We've only just met. That would be silly,' I said. Then she shut up for a while. We walked into the terminal and we were ushered to the baggage pick-up via the crowd. As our cases came out, I grabbed all of our bags, putting them on a trolley and we waited for Dad. After about ten minutes of standing around, waiting for Dad and Nesta bugging me with questions about the guy on the plane, whilst sat on the trolley, I finally saw Dad. Cutting across Nessy's next question, I raised my hand at him.

'Dad!' I called. He noticed us and came running over.

'Sorry kids! Got caught up in the immigration thing. Massive queue when I got there!' he said. I nodded.

'Let's go!' Nessy exclaimed, jumping off the bags. Dad took one of them and I threw the other onto my back. Then I gave my hand to Nessy. She took it and we left the airport for a taxi.

As we walked, or Nessy rather skipped, Dad insisted on us giving him all the details on what business class was like. It was quite funny as both Nessy and I made it out to be 10 times grander than what it was. His reaction was priceless. Although when Nessy started saying that she met Pinkie Pie and they flew away together to meet Ruby the Red Fairy, he gave me a wink which told me that he wasn't buying it.

We walked to a taxi rank to see a young couple waiting. Behind us joined an old couple, looked about in their 80's and the man was in a wheelchair being pushed by the woman. The young couple left and next came a big taxi. The one behind it was tiny. I nudged Dad and stepped out the way.

'Would you like to take this one?' I asked the old couple behind us. They shook their heads and the woman sighed, happily

'Such a generous heart, if only more youngsters were so polite... No darling you take it. You need it more than us,' the woman replied.

'You sure?' I asked. They nodded.

'Yes, yes, go for it love. When life distributes its luxuries, grasp them before anyone else,' she said. I was a bit baffled by what she said, then nodded and helped Dad and Nessy. I shoved our bags into the car, picked Nessy up into the car and got in myself. It turned out that the driver couldn't speak anymore English than "hello" and "thank you". It was then how glad I felt to have taken the extra Spanish classes at school.

'Where to Dad?' I whispered to him as the taxi driver asked us where in Spanish. Dad couldn't speak a word of Spanish.

'The hotel,' he whispered back to me. So I told the driver in Spanish the name of our hotel and we were off.
