 We walked into the building and I took Nessy into the ladies. I waited outside for about 5 minutes then she finally flushed the loo and came out. I helped her wash her hands then we walked back outside and I took her to the mini club. I knocked on the door. No one was there. So we went out of the chilled building, down some steps, through another part of the hotel and out to the mini pool. I met Rose.

'Ah you found us! Would you like to join?' she asked me.

'Sure. I'm just going to get my bags,' I said. Then to Nessy, 'Nessy, don't go in the pool until I come back. I've got your swim suit,' I said to her. She nodded and I ran back in and out of the building, up the steps and across the poolside to where I was. To my surprise, the guy had left but my songbook was on my bed with a pen next to it. I sat down to see if he had written anything. He had. He'd written:

"Sorry! I had to leave because my mates were getting bored and we had stuff to do. I covered your camera case and stuff with my towel but I kinda need it back. Would it be too much to ask you to bring it back? I'm in 608. And feel free to text me whenever if you want. We could become friends? N ;)"

I saw some digits below the note. Must be his number. I pull my phone out of my pocket and put his number in. I also texted him;

Is now a good time to bring back your towel? – Girl by the pool.

I typed and pressed send. In minutes, I got a reply saying,

Yeah fine! 608 x

So I bent down and pulled my camera case with his towel on out from under my bed, took the towel off and walked into the hotel with my camera case balanced on one shoulder and my beach bag on the other.

I walked to the lift and pressed the number six once inside. The lift then took me up to the top floor and I departed it. I found room 608 in no time and knocked on the door. I heard some rustling around from the other side of the door and finally, the door opened to the guy I'd met on the plane. But with no top on... I must have been quicker than he first anticipated.

'Hey,' he said, noticing how awkward this situation was. I passed him the towel.

'Here. Thanks as well,' I said. He nodded and took the towel, flashing a smile at me. Then we stood around a little awkwardly.

'I should get going now...' I said. He nodded. As I started to leave he stopped me.

'Wait!' he said. I turned around.

'What?' I asked him. He gulped.

'Are you um... free tonight? You know? Doing anything special?' he asked me quietly and shyly.

'Er well I might have to join in the mini disco and stuff but I'm not leaving the hotel... Why?' I asked him out of curiosity. He shrugged.

'No reason,' he answered. So I turned and left for the lift.
